This is when Platinum pays for itself

Welcome to AFF @Jke . Unfortunately, Plats are now also subject to call centres other and Hobart and the 'service' the poorly trained operators in the overseas call centres provide. You might get Hobart, you might not. Platinum on Qantas is a far cry from what it used to be.

Well, well, well. ISSUE RESOLVED!
As suggested by CaptainCurtis, I emailed Stephanie Tully twice on Friday and twice, again on Saturday.
I was giving up hope.
Then, at 7:22am this morning (Tuesday) got a call from a Sydney number and hoped...
Sure enough a clear and understandable voice identified herself from QANTAS. She was obviously in receipt of the email I sent, over and over, to Stephanie as she knew exactly what had happened and what connecting flight I needed to connect from QF12 to QF516 to BNE.
Presto, over a 10 minute period, the canceled sectors including those in First were reinstated, all on the A380.
So, more than an hour of frustration and demonstrated incompetence from Fiji was resolved by someone who knew what to do in 10 minutes.
Thanks AFF community for your feedback and ultimately successful strategy.
Thanks Stephanie Tully at QANTAS for taking the time to address my problem. It is really appreciated.

But wait, there's more :)
7:24am this morning (Wednesday), I received a follow-up call from QANTAS wanting to know if I was aware that the tickets had been re-issued and if there was anything more they could do to help.
A further apology was tendered and he then asked if the file on this case could be closed. I agreed that I was 100% satisfied and that the case could be closed.
Astounding! WOW!!
