This issue is still happening. Somehow my child become an adult on the booking and once I called up? Tickets silently cancelled. Qantas said JAL cancelled my flight, JAL said the opposite. Happy that Qantas sorted it out but consider myself fortunate. Anyway, lesson learned, won't be calling about an award booking unless it is critical.
