On my way from ICN to BNE for the FT AGM on Saturday, I managed to get to Lifetime Gold status :D - it was on CX flights so has taken a few days to post on the Qantas FF site. The interesting thing is that despite my total life balance (as indicated) now exceeds 14,000 points, it still doesn't indicate I have received Lifetime Gold status...

My guess is this is a bug in their site - are any other LT Gold's seeing the same thing?

I'm not particularly concerned about it, I just thought it was funny...

I passed LTS on this current trip.

Pity QF didn't stuff up and give me LTG..... ;)

My account shows "You have attained lifetime Gold recognition." I would give it a few days to sort itself out.

It takes a few days from attaining lifetime status for the page to change to saying that You have attained lifetime status

Dave

... and from then on it will no longer display your LT SC's.

If you're into this, you'll need to keep your own records ...

(I see you have some of the old TC's in there as well ;))

Well, it is now saying that I have achieved LTG status and (as serfty pointed out) no longer displays my SC total... shame, but I cant think of a useful reason to see the information apart from satisfying my curiosity...

Does it show your SCs towards bonuses points?

Yep - so I can still see how many SCs required for the next loyalty bonus. See below:

PS. In retrospect, I hould have posted this thread in the QFF forum - sorry

I think 3000 SCs since June certainly makes you a "quiet achiever" in the QF status stakes...

Congratulations Dot!
I'm hoping for about 3000 SC's this year and then same next year to hit LTG (providing QF don't enhance the QFF programme before I get there!)

Congratulations. I was suprised that coughulative SCs disappear on attainment of LTG. I guess it means that QFF has no intention of creating another, higher, lifetime category. (I would love lifetime Platinum!)

I dont know about that, I would expect there would be others here with higher earnings for thier membership year - I acually expect to be over the 4000 SC mark for my membership year by the end of May (Which is way higher than I expected it to be for this year).

To vt01, HardieBoys, Thanks.

To straitman, Harpoon, one step at a time - eventually you will get there.(It has taken me nine years to get to his milestone and the first seven to LT Silver seemed very slow going)

I am sure Qantas continue to be fully aware of how many SC's/TC's one has earned during your membership. It would be quite simple to turn it back on.

Yeah I know ;) I'm not actually that worried.

Work has put me in a role that involves a lot more travel than I've ever done before so I expect in the next year or two I will rack up some points.

The only downer, is for a business class seat, the trip must be greater then 4 hours. So just about all aussie destinations from MEL are economy. Even NZ I must go economy :p Same amount of SC's as the 40min hop to Adelaide haha. But I can't complain when I'm not paying for it. ;)

Holy smoke, Batman! 3000 SC in 9 months!

Do you fly in F to JFK every fortnight or something?

No - I fly Y when less than 8hrs, and J when greater. My recent DONE4 helped significantly adding 1290 SCs in under two weeks. The rest were regional flights around Asia (mixture of Y and J) and Australia/New Zealand (all Y). As I said earlier, I have another DONE4 coming up in May which should see me exceed 4500 SC for my membership year (taking into account the likleyhood of some other travel between now and then).
