Orange is the new Black/Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum...
Not by choice, and unfortunately not the new white. JQ flights don't count for P1.

"Official" history saysPer the AFF podcast, today is merely the hundredth anniversary of the registration of the business name.
The first flight of the Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Service wasn’t until 1921.

1920
Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Ltd (Q.A.N.T.A.S) formed at Winton, Queensland with two aircraft on 16 November. Joy-flights and charter work are the mainstays of the business. Grazier Fergus McMaster provides vital guidance and becomes the first Chairman.

So maybe the first "flight" was on Nov 16, 1920.
Depends on how one defines "first flight" of the entity "Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Ltd " I expect.
And from wiki
" On 2 November 1922, eighty-four-year-old outback pioneer Alexander Kennedy became the first passenger on the first scheduled service (piloted by Hudson Fysh) receiving ticket number one for a flight from Longreach to Cloncurry.[3] "
Interesting! Is this from Wikipedia? No flight took place on 16 November 1920 as the first Qantas plane was not delivered until January 1921.
Anyone flew today? Was there anything special at the lounge and/or onboard?
