Qantas Club Access for Jetstar

If you are QFF gold then you have QC access anyways - according to Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Gold Benefits you already have

>>* Jetstar refers only to (JQ) flights. Qantas Club members and Gold Frequent Flyers travelling on Jetstar Asia (3K) and Valuair (VF) do not have access to lounges. Only Platinum Frequent Flyers can gain access to International Business lounges and Domestic Qantas Club Lounges when travelling on Jetstar Asia (3K) and Valuair (VF).<<

Not according to Qantas Club rules - and yes they do enforce it; have been rejected more times than I can count. QFF Gold means nothing when you fly Jetstar Asia (3K) or Valuair (VF.)

Extremely happy to accept WP fliers - just us plebs who are not at all welcome in the Business Lounge.

Ahh, well there is that.

Sorry, probably should have worded that differently to avoid confusion.

"If the lounge is empty - what exactly is the harm allowing Gold members flying J* access?"
That is very unfair. A Qantas Gold should have lounge access when flying the various forms of Jetstar in Asia anytime even when the lounge is full.

Don't forget that Platinums have anytime access to the QF Business Lounges when flying on any carrier not just Jetstar.

That's one thing I do miss from not making Platinum for this year, John - access to any OW lounge. :(

Can see your point, as far as the travelling public is concerned "Jetstar" is the brand, and they should expect some consistency from the brand, regardless of whether it is a JQ, 3K, VF operated flight, and really that's the way the franchise should have been set up - to ensure consistency across the franchise. However as we all know here QF only owns 49% of Jetstar Asia ....
