I hope this site is monitored by QF management,this thread is not intended to be a whinge. I was in the QP business lounge at around 2pm today,the range of food on offer was extremely poor the only hot food dish was exhausted and remained so, little to no cakes on offer,bar staff in the kitchen so no one serving front bar and coffee.
Please Qantas a review of your contractors are urgently needed,if not turned around the leakage to Virgin will become a surge.
So a fair comparison can be made,I will be in the VA lounge tomorrow and will post my finding.

While we do get company reps online it wouldn't hurt to fire off some feedback via the qantas website.
 
I don't mean to be rude in any way but if you think the Virgin lounge will offer you more choice than the Qantas Business lounge then you are in for a rude shock. But perhaps that is just me and my one eyed support of Qantas. Or perhaps that is me having visited the Virgin lounge a couple of weeks ago. One staff member to serve coffee, beer, bring out fresh plates, collect plates etc etc. Not good.

I know the Qantas Business lounge does not have much to offer at that time of the day but it does have a hot food option on most days and if there is none in the tray it will get changed in a few minutes. If not then just speak to a staff member and they will replace. Never takes more than 4-5 minutes. And if the hot food option is curry then do not even bother waiting for more. ;)

Agree, best bet would be to leave Feedback through Qantas, not a fan/travel site that’s loosely related to the brand.

Plus, a fair comparison would be done at the exact same time and/or day, as certain times and days are busier than others.

i am not endorsing either VA or QF, seeing I will be in the VA lounge, a quick comparison can be made. They may be poor as well. Customers should never expect below standard service or range from any professional business, staff need to be proud for whom ever you work for, and be proud of the job you do for that company, by that I mean any company.

IMHO 2pm is not a good time to go into the lounge and expect that they will have a full selection of foods out.

It is probably change over time from Lunch back to snacks.

IMHO most of the lounges would be very similar around that time.

Given the OP mentioned no coffee, in that context the DJ lounge excels compared to QF, with an all day barista 7 days a week, I find the lack of a good coffee a real shock myself!
 
Not in defence of qf, but April is a low business travel month. Perhaps the j lounge is reducing catering for that.

I certainly see some hotels adjusting to the different traffic.
