And if the "mate" is travel organiser for a large organisation the organisation would probably see their corporate rate go and put the "mate" in hot water with the boss...

Even forgeting that, it is asking for trouble as the seller is effectively reselling a Qantas product without authorisation... I am no expert but I imagine it would not take too much legal creativity for Qantas to pull him through the ringer...

Clearly, the item should be reported to ebay for a start, the sell has admitted that he has obtained the membership by deception or even frauduantly

Re the "Rare Qantas Towel"

The DRW QC held my boarding pass recently. But I am reminded of Monthy Pyhton and the holy grail, near the start were they get to the french castle, and King Arthur mentions that he is searching for the grail. The french reply "No thank you, I have one already"

I'm not going to report it or try to get anyone in trouble, though I admit that by posting his response it's likely someone from Qantas will see it or, someone will notify Qantas, about the issue.

If I was a stockholder, my view would probably be different.

I would report it, but can't find/remember my ebay login - doh.

I did mean to report to ebay, not qantas. Wouldn't want someone to lose their job - just the profit margin.

Hi

Just as a heads up, the seller still has items for sale but everyones concerns seem to be coming true.

If you check the feedback they now have 2 Neg feedback's saying the deal has gone bad relating to these specific items.

So if you were in doubt, I'd say NO WAY

Cheers
