We are flying SIN-LHR this weekend, originally with QF but since merger has changed to BA flight number. My husband and I are both Qantas Club members and are travelling with our 2 children and my parents, will we all be able to access the lounge?

[-]You used to be able to access the lounges but the QF pages are not explicit - in fact they say you can access any QF owned Qantas Club - just show card and ticket/boarding pass. However elsewhere in the access page it refers to Ek and QF.

However this FAQ is very explicit on the topic:

Thanks for that, bit unfair as I booked through Qantas a good 10 months ago, but such is life, am plat with Virgin would have booked with SQ had I known what was going to happen.
 
If you carry with you a copy of the original ticket (showing that the flight was booked on the QF code), and a copy of the lounge entry conditions (showing that QP members can access if travelling on a marketed flight), then you would have a pretty good case to argue your way in. Perhaps Red Roo would be best to clarify, as the FAQ page doesn't mention what happens to passengers that have been forcibly re-ticketed post-JSA.

Just wait until your flights credit too - you won't be earning at the normal QF rate, but rather the now abysmal BA rate - despite the fact that you originally booked the QF code...

You can access the new Qantas Singapore Lounge when you travel this weekend as you were booked on a Qantas service prior to the changes.

Please carry a copy of your original e-ticket/itinerary showing the Qantas flight, and present your current Qantas Club card at reception.

As with any schedule change, you're entitled to earn Qantas points and status credits as per your original ticketed flight. However please hold on to your boarding passes and contact our Frequent Flyer team on 131131 or [email protected] upon your return if this has not credited correctly.

Enjoy the lounge with your family, and please let me know how you go. :)

A quick response from Red Roo and indeed a great outcome for the OP!

I wasn't aware that you could also claim ORC when only a flight code is changed (as opposed to a routing or operating carrier change). I'll keep that in mind! :)

EDIT: Upon reading the topic post again, I've seen that they were booked on QF, not just a QF code. Still, always nice to see a positive outcome. :)

They did that for me last week when they changed our direct flights to HK had to go via SIN then CX to Honkers,
