Also on a SYD-fog affected Thursday 15 June, QF501 from BNE is expected to arrive at 0855, 80 minutes late. QF503, the 0630 hours is expected to depart BNE at 0800 with SYD arrival estimated at 0940, 95 late.

QF1543 (B717 VH-YQT, 0615 hours BNE - CBR) took off at 0718 with arrival suggested as 0909 hours, 64 minutes tardy.

The 0620 hours QWGA - SYD, QF2220, departed at 0749 with forecast arrival at 0852 hours, 87 late.

In further on Thursday 14 June, QF880 (0810 hours MEL - OOL, B738 VH-XZN) had not taken off by 0857 so will be at least half an hour late.

QF730, the first of the morning at a timetabled 0600 hours from ADL across to SYD was airborne at 0728 hours (B738 VH-VXU) with arrival suggested as 0937, 77 minutes late. The following QF732 (VH-VXJ) should pull in to SYD at roughly 0943, 43 late.

A332 VH-EBO was still only moving towards the departures holding point on runway 34R at SYD at 0955. It is the 0900 hours SYD - MEL, QF419, so it will be at least 35 minutes late arriving in the southern capital.

The 0830 hours SYD - MEL has fared even worse with B738 VH-VXG in the early stages of taxiing as at 1004 hours, so it is more than an hour late.

The redeye from PVG, QF130 (A333 VH-QPJ) arrived SYD at 0957, 87 minutes late.

B717 VH-YQV operated QF6202, presumably an empty working from HBA to SYD, taking off at 0819 and landing at 0958.

Delays ADL - PER and ADL - MEL due to Sydney fog. By about an hour currently.

Also on 15 June, QF23 departed 59 minutes late from SYD at 1049. BKK arrival is predicted at 1715 hours, 35 late.

The SYD - PVG QF129 unusually was 63 minutes behind schedule in departing at 1038. It should pull in to the major Chinese commercial centre at 1905, 35 minutes tardy.

Longhaul QF11 was off its blocks at 1028, 38 minutes tardy; LAX same day arrival is suggested as 0710, 40 down.

QF63, another long journey departed 33 late at 1123; arrival should be at roughly 1735, 35 minutes late.

Wednesday 14 June's longhaul QF8 commenced pushing back in DFW at 2244, 29 minutes late but the deficit has lengthened a little bit with Friday 16 SYD arrival forecast at 0655, 50 minutes late.

For the second consecutive day, this time on Friday 16 June, QF130 from PVG down to SYD (A333 VH-QPG) is delayed with likely arrival 33 minutes late at 0903 hours.

QF1529 (B717 VH-YQU, the 0845 hours CBR down to MEL that was not airborne until 0931) should oull in to the southern capital at roughly 1032, 37 minutes behind the timetable.

QF128 HKG-SYD departed ~1 hour late last night and arrived ~1 bour late this morning. Small blessing as it would appear we missed most of the early arrivals and it was a breeze getting through.

Thursday 15 June's QF12 departed JFK at 1920 hours, 70 minutes late, arriving LAX at 2158, 58 minutes late. However the connecting A388 did not depart (also as QF12) from LAX until 0021 hours today (Friday 16), 111 minutes late with SYD Saturday 17 June arrival likely at 0825, 125 minutes behind schedule.

While there can be many factors affecting transfer times and actual departure of QF12 from LAX, on some occasions the B744 can arrive from JFK and the Airbus depart for SYD in 70- 80 minutes.

Meanwhile QF16 from LAX to BNE departed at 0108 hours on Friday 16, 108 minutes late with saturday 17 arrival suggested as 0710, an hour late. In theory this should not cause any delay to the Saturday morning QF15 from BNE across to LAX.

QF94 departed LAX on Thursday evening 61 minutes late at 2311 with Saturday 17 arrival suggested as 0745, 50 minutes late. This will delay QF93 from MEL back to LAX a little as it has a shorter allowed reversal in MEL than QF16 to QF15 does up in BNE.

Friday 16's QF1509 (1915 hours MEL - HBA) has been cancelled.

Saturday 17 June has seen QF93, the 0915 hours MEL - LAX A388 depart 32 minutes late; projected same day arrival is 0715 hours, 40 minutes behind schedule.

QF81 (1025 hours mid morning SYD - SIN) did not depart until 1119, with estimated arrival in the Lion City at 1740 hours, 50 minutes behind.

Also on Saturday 17 June, A333 VH-QPH on QF29 MEL - HKG took off at 1139, 79 minutes after its timtabled departure. Likely arrival is half an hour behind at 1830 hours.

Much later on Saturday 17 June, B738 VH-VYF on QF765 (1700 hours late afternoon SYD across to ADL) was in the sky at 1919. Arrival should be at approximately 2038 hours, 118 minutes late. It had earlier arrived on time on QF750 at around 1420 this afternoon in SYD, so there was no obvious reason for the fairly lengthy delay.

QF1560 in the opposite direction, the 1740 hours took off at 1905; B717 VH-YQX should arrive at around 2121 hours, 76 minutes late.

Looks like tonight's QF9 will be delayed - to quote from #1 son on the scene "Lots of people standing around shining torches in this engine".

Announcement from QF "Due to necessary maintenance, we will be delayed one hour. We expect departure time to be 12.00am"

QF8 17 June is now departing at 2359 from the original 22:15

I hope the previous QF8 got away or it could get messy tonight.

Friday 16 June's QF8 from DFW to SYD is now suggested as departing at 2215 on Saturday 17 June, meaning a forecast of Monday morning 19 June arrival at 0610 hours. This is much later than the 1440 hours estimated departure to which milehighclub referred to above.

The scheduled Saturday 17 June 2215 hours QF8 has been altered to depart at 0015 on Sunday 18, suggesting Monday morning arrival at 0750 hours.

All three A388 departures ex SYD on Sunday 18 June (QF11, QF7 and QF1) are showing as punctual at this stage.

The delayed Saturday 17 QF9 referred to by Bundy Bear departed at 0109 on Sunday 18 with DXB arrival estimated as 0900 hours, 115 minutes late. LHR arrival is forecast for 1535, 85 minutes late.

Due to the late arrival of QF94, QF93 on Sunday 18 is predicted to commence pushing back at 1000 rather than 0915 hours.

Unfortunately the 1440hr departure was to get in before the SYd curfew, once missed it had to wait until the morning arrival time. I wonder if the delayed Fridays QF8 took Saturdays QF8 arrival slot pushing Saturdays QF8 to an empty slot later in the morning?
