Earlier on Friday 17 May 2019, QF63, the often late B744 scheduled off blocks in SYD at 1055 for a 1700 hours JNB arrival, departed at 1154 with suggested arrival 1730 in the late afternoon local time.
QF29 departed MEL at 1013 hours, 33 late, arriving HKG at 1807, 47 minutes behind schedule. A333 VH-QPB was the aircraft.
The 0935 hours morning QF61 from BNE up to NRT was worse, not pushing back until 1112 hours, arriving at 1920, 85 late. This plane was VH-QPD. Redeye QF62 from NRT down to BNE should depart at 2055 tonight, an hour late.
QF80 tonight from NRT to MEL, the 2005 hours, should depart at 2045.
The B744 ex SYD at 1235 for SCL departed only 18 late but same day expected arrival is 1135, half an hour behind.
QF9, the 1515 hours MEL - PER has a pretty good domestic timekeeping performance but today it was 75 late away with arrival in the WA capital at 1817 hours, 62 late. Departure for LHR is projected as bang on 2000 hours, 75 late with Saturday 18 arrival in 'The City' at 0625 hours, 80 late. B789 VH-ZNH is the aircraft, with no obvious delay reason as it had arrived in MEL on 17 May at 0535 hours, only five minutes late on QF50, ex SFO on Wednesday 15.
The afternoon 1615 hours from MEL up to SIN, QF37 was 61 late off its blocks so Lion City arrival has become a suggested 2335, 70 late. None of us need to be Rhodes Scholars to discern that the redeye back down, QF38, will be delayed. The forecast is for an 0050 hours SIN pushback, an hour late, on Saturday 18 with MEL arrival 1020, 65 late.
Thursday 16 saw 'the 2' push back in LHR at 2155, 50 late, arriving SIN on 17 May at 1829, 64 late. QF says departure tonight for SYD will be only 20 minutes tardy at 1950 hours: possible, but probably optimistic. A 90 minute stay (minimum) is more the norm.
