Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Dispensation has been given to EK413 to land after curfew who have just pushed back from BNE. Hopefully you're in the same bucket.

Possible extra points and SC too? 😅
Captain just confirmed dispensation has been granted for QF26 as well.

Meanwhile in SYD DOM, there are no bays available - approx. 6 aircraft sitting on various taxiways waiting for departing aircraft... all while curfew creeps up

Int'l looks fine - several aircraft being turned around.

Also an update, just hit the ground at SYD.

My partner (SG, originally connecting to MEL) is rebooked to tomorrow morning and booked into Park Royale darling Harbour

Good to see they're proactive and they know where they're going even before you hit the gate!

Messed up coms at SYD though. Didn't explain exactly where to line up. Eventually a second staff came around to shepherd all the QF26 people to a separate line.

Also i wondered why QF gave us $120 cab voucher one way. My god $102.40 from SYD to darling Harbour.

Quite a few departures after 23:00 last night. That EK413 went to MEL.

QF26 Hnd-Syd scheduled 0815 departure yesterday (21.11) left gate, had electronics problem...could not be fixed after 4 hours, pax deplaned and put up in Hnd hotels overnight...now completely cancelled this am. This is going to put a spanner in the Qf Syd-Hnd-Syd schedule!

Thats VH-QPD - another A333 issue - this airframe is 20 years old and being used extensively - now problems are creeping up...

Makes me very glad I'm flying out on JAL tomorrow 😅

QF38 on QPA (A333) was delayed into Melbourne after a late departure yesterday- arriving at 1136 instead of 1010 after taking off at 0151 from 2340 scheduled

This delay is now transacting to QF29 to HKG - original depart is 1105, now hopefully depart at 1305 - 2 hr delay…
(Took off at 1400)

QF127 from Sydney to HKG also suffered massive delays, departed at 1311 instead of 1115 - QPF is the aircraft in question

Expect major delays out of HKG tonight on BOTH flights tonight!!!

The return flights from HKG - 23/11/2024 arrivals

QF128 to SYD - QPF took off at 2200 - ETA at 0950 now

QF 30 to MEL - QPA took off 2207 - ETA at 0950

BOTH are over 2 hrs delayed in arrivals !!

24/11/24 - QF3 - SYD-AKL-JFK (VH-ZND) about to be cancelled. QF are down a 787-9 with QF1330 doing what looks to be an Antarctic Flight
Can confirm that the subsequent QF4 (was to depart AKL on Tuesday 26th) is now cancelled - awaiting to see what 737 service they offer me.
