Qantas Delays/Cancellations

I've just checked in for tonight's QF128 and lots of people for QF128D checking in too at other check in desks - so far the lounge isn't too busy...
Safe travels and the reason of double check in - I think you saw the QF128D will depart at 1900, and the scheduled 128 tonight is at 1930 - unless they want to space it out? that could be a possibility...

Not sure - I haven't spoken to anyone from the 128D yet - will see what I can find out after I tuck into some butter chicken.

I hope for your sake that your flight is not the one that will be spaced out with a delayed departure just to give enough space for the 128D to travel far enough for ATC to separate you 2 aircraft in call signs...

ATC won’t have any effect on timings, flights are identified by more than mere call signs, and a d is all it takes. Please stop with the bs.

Apparently a number of passengers from 128D have been transferred onto 128 leaving tonight's totally full - no idea why they have done that seeing as 128D is departing 30 minutes ahead of 128. I did have a spare seat beside me but that has now been filled.

Is it possible because of the 128D have a weight restriction on that aircraft now due to last night's issue? or maybe that flight might have to be flown back empty? That could be a possibility

Not the most promising start to tonight's QF128 - announcement has just indicated that boarding will be starting about 19:15 - 30 minutes late
