Qantas deliberately hiding QF awards to QFF and pushing JQ seats instead?

Bad value, yes thats one way of putting it

2.5x the points and 10x the fees, poor Qantas :(

Where exactly is the good value with redeeming QFF points these days?

Points value is different for every loyalty scheme and sector, hotels, airlines, whatever. 5 times the points of AA is irrelevant it's what is costs and is worth to you and you alone. My metrics will be different from yours on how I decide where to go and whom to fly.

Booked last year Syd-Hnd-Kix JAL Business for 90k points and $90, flew in mid Jan. Booked exactly the same flight for pretty much the same price again next Jan. Mind you I was stalking the website and booked as soon as the seats were released.
Saw a First Class seat on BA Sin-Syd for Jan, was tempted but unfortunately it was few days too early for me. It got snapped up pretty quickly as it was gone when I looked a couple of days later.
