Hi everyone, just wondering whether this Qantas Direct rewards program is new or not? I don't seem to recall having this option when I first got my card, though I have had it for quite some time.
I do remember investigating ways of earning or transferring points to QFF in the past, and don't remember seeing this at the time.
I can't post links yet, but here is what is on the page:
Sorry if this is old news
EDIT: Did some more research, appears this has been around for yonks. Feel free to delete this thread

Welcome to Qantas Direct[SUP]1[/SUP]
With Qantas Direct[SUP]1[/SUP] all points you earn on your everyday spend are automatically credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account each month. And, when you use your Card to make an eligible purchase from one of over 500 Qantas Frequent Flyer program partners, you could earn points twice – once on your Card and once with the partner. Qantas Frequent Flyer points can then be redeemed for your choice of rewards through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
What’s more, if you don’t have enough points for a redemption, you may be able to:
Take an Award flight to one of 700 destinations
- Take advantage of the Family Transfer option[SUP]3[/SUP].
- Transfer points from a participating card or hotel reward program to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
- Use the Points + Pay option[SUP]4[/SUP].
Choose from either:
Qantas Frequent Flyer Store
- Qantas & Partner Classic Award flights[SUP]5[/SUP] on Qantas, Jetstar and over 30 partner airlines, or
- Qantas & Jetstar Any Seat Award flights[SUP]6[/SUP].
- Choose from over 3,000 products and experiences including over 100 vouchers (for delivery in Australia) in the Qantas Frequent Flyer Store[SUP]7[/SUP].
