Noticed that JQ is running a scratch & win competition with "gift cards" sold on board, They are selling 250,000 @$5.00 each ($1,250,000 total) and the total prize pool (including 3,500 FREE replacement gift cards and 3,500 HOT DRINKS is valued at JUST UNDER $50,000 by Qantas. This may leave room for a "dividend increase?"
Interestingly enough they value the 1st prize of 1 Million QFF points at JUST $8,016 by using the cost of a one way POINTS PAY 1st Class to the USA

How very Ryanair.

Wonder of the FAs will get commission for each one they sell?

Re: Qantas dividend to increase?

Or penalties for missing sales quotas.

Ryanair cabin crew are required to sell eight scratch cards each per day or face action, an internal staff memo shows.

…“If the same crew members names appear to not be reaching their daily targets [they] will be met with by their supervisor and further action taken.”

Ryanair cabin crew’s daily targets also include selling one bottle of perfume a day, one meal deal, and one item of fresh food.

This sounds like a stupid tax. As in, a tax on the stupid ;)

Just to add, just hopped of an Alaska flight from LAX-SEA and the cabin staff were offering credit card application forms for the Bank of America Alaskan Visa and I grabbed one and noticed that the bottom of the form had cabin staff details for payment of an "incentive?"
Very impressed with seat pitch in economy, think it is better than QF 737 but i must check, almost as good as a JQ exit row.
