Have just booked SYD-CBR-MEL-SYD for a quick MR in early April.

$160 all inc and all booked into O class...
How can you book it like this? And why does it work out cheaper than the prices sector-by-sector:confused:

also using the domestic multi city feature for CBR-MEL-SYD helps

the $160 does not include the credit card fee as you do have the option to pay via EFT/Bpay

Funnily enough I was looking to book a SYD-MEL flight for later next month but my dates were too expensive so I started looking at points. Glad I waited 24 hours! You never know do you?
No options on a Friday arvo though.

Again I note DJ hasn't matched the first sale period. Unless they are happy with their loads they are gifting business to QF
They must be doing it tougher in the 2nd half of the year than they are letting on..or they have just plain dropped the ball.also sale pricing for the rest of the periods is sending a message to QF we'd like you to lift your fares or nt compete so hard..very unlike DJ

This is pretty good.. I just looked up a MEL-PER for August, and via the Amex Travelkey site it's $325 return or 32,500 points!! So it's 3,500 points cheaper than a classic reward, and you get the 40SC and 3000+ FF points...

Some great bargains to be had!!!

Hi
I was also interested in doing the same run in June..But I could not get the $160 price you got. The cheapest I got with that same run was $187 before credit card fee of $7.70.

And I had to over night in Canberra. The Multi city booking does not allow me to do a SYD-CBR-MEL-SYD all in one day.

However for $187 for 3000 points and 30SC, its still pretty good..

cheers..

As per one of my subsequent replies above, the $160 did not include credit card surcharges.

SYD-CBR QF787 08:10-09:05
CBR-MEL QF763 10:15-11:20
MEL-SYD QF430 12:00-13:25

Pretty much all before lunchtime

Great thanks for reminding me - off to the Amex site!!

So with an undoctored image like the one attached, am I eligible for the sale to apply for another > 30 days?

I saw something similar earlier in the day and did not pay much attention as I assumed Qantas extended the sale. Perhaps someone using the production server for testing?

We had a couple of folk in the office ask the same question but it appears to be a PC cache problem .If you clear yr "cookies" via "ToolS" /Internet options in MS explorer the clock goes away
