Could be, could be. I just purchased a Syd/Mel return for the 16th for less than $200 on Virgin whereas the equivalent Qantas fare is $330. My fudge factor doesn't quite cover that big a stretch under the company BFOD policy!

We have all been caught out - and I don't want to be picky - but, it should be 'their' and not 'there.

And it should be "'there'" and not "'there", but if we continue down this path we will wake up Apostrophe Man and we will never here the end of it!

Our company TA advised us DJ silently rolled out fare increases on most routes yesterday .Her advise was that because they don't load specific corp fares like QF they give no notice of changes whereas QF usually give a weeks warning.

Well the QF price hike was short lived... prices are back to pre-sale in August. Or at least, some are.

Funny that they followed QF (and out of choice too) and yet QF cops all the slack from the public and the media.

What routes moved to pre-August levels?

The only pre Aug price as mentioned appears to be SYDMEL and ADLASP (both which TT are on Sale).
Given both airlines effectively lost money in the 2nd half of the year...if 1 moves north in price to stem the red the other would jump willingly, all about not being the leader(plus hoping they dont turn off the demand tap with he rises)
