Qantas double status credits: Register & book between 12-18 March 2025

OK all booked now thanks to the team at Auckland! Outbound and return legs on separate bookings in case I have to cancel the return and go to Korea and then return from there.

No Joy with getting DSC sorted out due to the wait times. Might give QFF a call tomorrow about it.
Are you taking advantage of ex-NZ/AKL flight fares? instead of an ex-AU flight?

Anyone else booked last minute flights . I did to Melbourne airport
Yeah, I booked over a dozen flights in the last 2 hours.

Booking engine kept crashing. Depending on which stage of the process you were in you'd either have to go back to the start, or if at the payment stage a PNR was created and you were told to get in touch for assistance.

No surprises that the call centre was in demand.

With QF pricing to LAX being too high we didn’t bother booking anything other than A320 coast to coast runs in business.
Same here. My usual QFi destinations had J price increases as much as $1500 above what I normally have paid without there being DSC. I will watch to see if now the DSC are finished will the prices reduce. During the DSC promo, doing a price comparison in J with CX to similar destinations on the same dates had QF at around $1650 more expensive. With CX offering a far superior product the decision to not book QFi was easy.

I will be looking for an Asia Sale or something similar to book a DPS trip in J

A quick question and please accept my apologies if this has already been asked several times. I couldn't locate it in the 17 pages of this thread.

My colleague booked several flights yesterday and registered for the double status credits offer today. He was working on the understanding that if he booked during the offer period and registered during the same period then the DSC on the bookings made during the offer period but prior to his registration will still apply.

Is this correct?
Correct. Registration and booking are independent actions that have to happen during the booking window.

It’s your final registration and selection (SC or points) at the end of the booking window that matters.

This is also why you can toggle between SC and points option during the booking window, and only your last selection will stick.

I was trying to book a CR late last night. Kept getting error messages on the Qantas website and, as a result, did not complete the booking until just after midnight. Just on the phone to them at the moment, but not getting a reply even though I've been next in queue for about 30 mins now. Getting close to needing to give up and try again in the morning.

Anyone have success in getting Qantas to honour the promotion in these circumstances?
Just an addendum to this. I rang Qantas to plead my case. I was advised that, although my booking was not complete until 19 March 2025, the reservation was commenced on (and so the reservation date is) 18 March 2025 and so I am eligible for DSC. Not talking about a huge number of SC as its just a short domestic economy trip, but pleasant to confirm nonetheless. Happy days.

Got stuck in meetings in Jakarta and missed the deadline for some last minute banker bookings.

Good luck to those who made some banker bookings for the outback and look forward to the updates to see if the DSC works

Which number/section of Qantas did you ring? I need to do the same - about 72 SC's extra if I can make it happen.

Well apparently my bookings that I finally got to make about 1.45am this morning (19th) were created yesterday(18th) - even though nobody at QF even knew before midnight where I was going or when. I guess will find out in a few days - first 2x flights are tomorrow so I guess DSC's should post sometime late next week if they are going to...

Maybe the offshore call centres were still running on the 18th ? 🙏 you get double status .

Damned if I know... the vagaries of the Qantas IT system. Just checked my math - corrected figure is an extra 65 SC's if it does do DSC - I've already made WP (my year ends April 30) but should get me that little bit closer to LTG.

Good luck. Would be grateful if you could let us know whether the DSCs land in your account.

Certainly will post - not only for that reason but also as I will probably be one of the first to travel on a booking made in this DSC offer so everyone will be anxious to know when the first DSC's have posted to accounts :)

Just remember traditionally the Feb/Mar take a few weeks to a month to post the first time. I predict the thread will become questions on when they will land.

Reminds me i now need to book my April test flight.

Just thought I'd share my experience of the Double Status credit offer.

I'm not trying to get status on QF, but I am planning a trip to LA in June. I was wanting to get on QF11 on Friday so I could knock off work, fly up to LA and arrive at a time when I can check into my hotel. The price for the dates has been a bit steep though ($2040 return). The day after the double status credit offer ended I got a Google Flights notification that the flights I wanted have now dropped in price by $700!

Glad I wasn't lured in by the DSC offer, the $700 is definitely worth more. 😁
