Qantas double status credits: Register & book between 12-18 March 2025

Registered accordingly.

Curiously, I didn't get an email about it. Maybe Qantas was worried all the AFF'ers trying to book flights and crashing the website !

The email usually comes out later. I wouldn’t be surprised sometime after midnight UTC to avoid the issue with those “early birds” bookings.
Time to use up my flight credits
Are they linked to existing PNRs? Or just some $$$ credits in the system?

I find the sentences from the Ts&Cs in my edited post above contradictory. Curious if they’re the same as previous or different?

Is there any restrictions that the booking has to originate in Australia?

No. If you can get a better price by originating in AKL and booking a return ticket from there, go for it!

Would booking via work's corporate traveller platform count?

Travel agent bookings are fine.

I read that to mean adding a new segment(s) to an existing booking (PNR) made prior to the DSC booking period.

Although, the wording around flight credits appears to have changed?

“Bookings made using flight credits issued prior to 12 March 2025 are eligible for this offer. Flight credits issued on or after 12 March 2025 will not be eligible for this offer. Bookings made using eligible flight credits must be made during the booking of window 12 March 2025 to 18 March 2025. Any bookings made using flight credits outside of this window will not be eligible.

Does that first sentence make sense also? Are there flights credits not associated with an existing PNR?
That's how I also read the clause about adding a new segment, basically if you book a flight to a mining town and then add on a flight to London this new flight won't count and I have a feeling a few people will get caught out.
As for the flight credit it makes sense to me how it is written but I'm not sure how it will work because as you said isn't it associated with an existing PNR.

Just a quick question, it says flights between 19 March 2025 and 24 February 2026 are eligible. Does that include flights on those actual dates?

I have read the T&Cs. One of my assumptions is that itineraries originating overseas will qualify as long as the flights are 'eligible flights'. What do we think?

Any QF*QF flight segment booked in compliance with the terms of the promotion, irrespective of origin and/or destination would be eligible.

This bit seems problematic to "existing practices" unless I'm over thinking this - "Flight credits issued on or after 12 March 2025 will not be eligible for this offer. Bookings made using eligible flight credits must be made during the booking of window 12 March 2025 to 18 March 2025. "

Over thinking it.

Yes, I flagged that earlier. But what doesn’t make sense then is the earlier sentence that says existing “Flight credits” will count…🤷‍♂️

“Bookings made using flight credits issued prior to 12 March 2025 are eligible for this offer”

I still think that applies to PNRs created before the DSC. ie “Existing PNRs” as per the Ts&Cs.

“Existing PNR for the purpose of this promotion means a PNR booked before 12 March 2025”

Hi all

Earlier this week, I booked return flights from AU to overseas 17th March to 21st March with Qantas for work.
DSC offer came up this morning and unfortunately for me, its starts 19th March.

To try to maximum DSC offer, I got cancelled my booking for flight credit and rebooked flights for the same dates ( cant change due to work)
I have realised that the flight credit with Qantas is the same as my original booking number and have been issued the same booking number for this rebooking.

Can anyone advise
1. Given the flight ref booking number has not changed, am I eligible for DSC?
2. Can I confirm given the outbound flight is before the 19th March, that my return leg will get DSC?

Obviously I want to use the credit, rather than pay a whole new flight and have credit sitting with qantas.

Thank you

This is not what Qantas wants unfortunately. Qantas wants you to make new bookings.

Your situation is dealt with in the T&Cs ie. not eligible for DSC.

I'm going to say it will depend on how many people read the T&C and how they interpret this clause

I interpret this as you already have a PNR pre 12 Mar 2025, and add another segment in this new booking period.

Not make a new PNR to the outback, within the travel period, and then modify the segments at a later date.

Emails usually get sent around midday or later.

Yep, great deal. I registered for this.
Looks like there's also a double points offer running concurrently with Qantas Business Rewards:

For reference, fight club didn't activate on the last DSC with QBR promo. Normal stuff did.
