Qantas DSC October 2024 Offer - book by 31/10/24 & fly 1/11/24-19/10/25

I have a SYD-MEL-SYD booked during the DSC window via corporate TA (Navan). Plans have changed slightly, and I'm now needing to add international segments (MEL-DFW-AUS-DFW-MEL), so naturally wanting to try amend the existing booking to retain DSC. Any ideas if this will be possible? Booked into E.

Is there anyone who has used the old yolker method? (IYKYK) I think is the correct acronym.

Understand if no one wants to report publicly.
If noone has reported by the start of 2025 I can probably report back. I should have a flight on the 30th.

Yes, I have in years gone past and for this year (known as the double yolker method in line with the D in DSC). Not sure I get your acronym. Absolutely correct about the no publicity

It is possible - whether Navan have staff who are willing to do so is another matter.
Spent some time with them yesterday - they initially said there are issues having different fare classes on the same booking, but they managed to overcome this when I insisted they call Qantas for assistance.

The accents I was getting (today, Sunday) appeared to be South African, so maybe try again tomorrow. I have noticed in the past, when trying to redeem a gift voucher, that the offerings were less than the Qantas booking site.
Update, called again, spoke to a helpful gentleman in Fiji, who sorted my flights for me. Thank you all for your inputs.

A dilemma for me is the PER-MEL/SYD-AKL status runs, I'm pretty much doing a:
to AKL (QF149) via Syd - landing 1am
from AKL (AF152) to MEL - departing 6am

I'm just deliberating whether its even worth it to get a hotel right outside the airport or I just find a cozy corner to nap before immigration opens up again.

Anyone else whose done these kind of runs have any advice on this?
I did an overnight at CHC and it was boring but I survived by catching up on AFF threads.

One thing to keep in mind is the possibility/likelihood of a delayed arrival. The night I was at CHC the flight from SYD was 3 hours lare arriving.

Imagine how you would feel if you had booked a hotel and only got to use it for an hour before needing to head back to the airport?

So I tried today to change my outback country trip to a regular couple of domestic routes.

Interesting that I wasn't able to change the flex fare flight into regular economy flights. I thought it was possible but apparently not.

What I was able to do was cancel for a voucher, which gave me the same PNR. I was then able to use that voucher credit to purchase the flights that I wanted.

Let's see if I get the DSC now ..

that's me for the upcoming AKL flights. Probably worth next year to just suffer at the airport. I booked hotel this time around as I did have a meeting during that short time period so trying to get some (non-work) work done, refresh then head back to the airport.

I had to change a DSC booking as Qantas had cancelled the flights. Forward journey was in J, return in Y.
Retained the PNR, wanted to book the Y tkt in J but couldn't do it @goosh
No issue with getting DSC though.
