On Sunday I booked 2 Return flights MEL-PER to take advantage of DSC.
The charges ($1,681.28) for both tickets were duly debited to my NAB MC, but still remain as a Pending transaction.
Last night a new charge appeared on my CC to Qantas for an amount of 840.64 (1 ticket) and this transaction has Cleared.
I contacted NAB regarding the new transaction today, and was advised that NAB has received numerous enquiries from account holders regarding similar duplicate charges by Qantas.
As the original transaction is still Pending I have been advised by NAB to wait until the transaction is either Posted or otherwise by Qantas.

Anyone else encountered similar recently?

Yes

$172 charge duplicated

The younger charge posted
The older charge remained pending and dropped Orf

But it does tie up credit limit for a time

This is quite common with Qantas and NAB cards. What often happens is the authorisation stays pending while the charge posts separately - meaning for a brief period you don’t have access to those funds.

Yeah. Happens all the time for me. Pending goes on as the full amount, then tends to drop off very quickly and overnight the NAB App will ping me for the separate tickets.

I have had this error.
Booked two flights with two people .
Qantas now have charged me for the two flights but only 1/2 passengers .

My credit limit lower than the flights combined .

I paid one off then process another payment lmao .

I better call Qantas back????

Check your credit card history Friday morning, you may find it updates overnight.
You could also check your bookings, if they are all ticketed you should be good.

Yes, the bank suggested to wait until the pending payment clears. It has now disappeared.
This morning I now have 2 separate payments (one for each passenger).
All good.

yes, happened today, 11,000k, Qantas agree it's done in error but won't reverse the error.

Welcome to AFF @markius
Plenty of knowledgeable folk here always willing to assist.

This CC dilemma is very frustrating especially as it ties up your spending power for a short period.
The only positive is that it should rectify itself within 48 hours.

Don’t transfer money like I did going in to positive balance scared my self for a few days then payments disappearing

Thought my flights got canceled thankfully Qantas said they got payment .

I booked 2 award flights on Sun night....immediately a pending charge of $96.72 appeared on my Bankwest credit card. The next day, 2 pending charges of $48.36 appeared. All charges remain pending. Have received the etickets... so the issue is a Qf one one, not from the credit card! I'm hoping it resolves itself!

The $96.72 should disappear when the other 2 confirm.
