wooo hoooo got it as well. If anything, makes me feel 'special'.

And only 10 SCs needed between now & 31st Dec 2010 for Gold.
Have 2 x Red-E deal flights and a pacific int. flight locked & loaded. So gold will be too easy.

No email for me, I'd prefer to stay on the Air subscription list anyway ;p
From the posts here seems like it's a random cross section of all tiers.

How often does the Air Mag get published? I haven't seen one for awhile...

I also received the email, I have 3 intl forward bookings in Dec, 2 starting in SYD (T1 & T3)

Just confirming that this is a new initiative to help your feedback get directly to our frontline and is a separate panel to the Customer Advisory Panel. We have invited a broad range of customers across the tiers to join the feedback panel and provide feedback for selected flights on our inflight, airport and lounges experience on both international and domestic flights. As has been noted, this feedback system is starting in SYD and PER, but this will expand to more ports next year.

The philosophy here is to provide a direct feedback loop between our customers and our frontline managers and teams, so we can learn and act on that feedback. At the same time, we are also conscious of your time, so have limited emails to no more than one every 10 days and no more than every second time you fly. The surveys themselves are brief and should take no longer than 2 minutes to complete.

Confirming the Customer Advisory Panel is still in existence. The feedback panel is designed to provide immediate feedback based on your direct Qantas experience to the frontline, whereas the Customer Advisory Panel is used for a broader range of topics. We still undertake regular studies on the Customer Advisory Panel (literally one was sent out yesterday) and our last newsletter was in September (have PM'd drewbles to follow up). Not all Members receive all surveys, as we target different groups based on the topic at hand and also do not want to oversurvey our Members. I have passed the feedback onto the research team.

I received my first feedback panel survey today after a flight from SYD to CBR. Was very simple to fill out and the service I had today was very commendable anyway so it was quite straightforward.

Hopefully the feedback is useful.

Flew back SYD/MEL friday night and no feedback for me, have a few bookings upcoming.

But ill give some feedback now for whatever its worth, minor and pathetic i know, but when you travel a lot you notice these things.

1. PLEASE can we have electronic devices turn off on descent when the seatbelt sign is on just like on VB? instead of the split second the engines power down slightly and start the descent. there is like an eternity sometimes from slowing down to actually landing.

2. Last nights dinner, the food was fine, no issues, but there was no little tray for the hot meal to sit inside, has anyone else noticed that? Is this just new, cos every other flight so far this year there it has been there.

Those foil trays get damn hot, im talking burning hot, and i always pick up the tray and eat it closer to me, so i dont wear half the braised beef.

Anyways all minor stuff I know, but hey, thats feedback. and good to see you still around Red Roo :)

The fully moulded trays that the foil containers sit in have been around for a while now. I typically just use my napkin folded suitably to hold it to avoid spillage (like you, I have no desire to wear my plane meal).

The plastic containers were great, but they don't fit into the trays these days (or did you have one of the non-moulded trays without a plastic container for the meal?).

I see in today's newsletter that flights departing PER, SYD, MEL, BNE and CBR are all eligible to be surveyed with ADL being rolled-out along with 'selected international ports' soon.

I like that we'll be surveyed every second trip (although not more than once every 10 days) as I do actually really enjoy taking surveys as often as possible.
:D

I also meant to add that I like that they've included both negative and positive feedback examples in the "What our members are saying" column. I was hoping that I would be quoted but no such luck. Anyone here from AFF that got quoted? :D
