Qantas FF earns high Ancillary Revenue New Report by Cartrawlers

Ideaworks have been putting these reports out for years, and the ancillary revenue is always discussed. (do a search for ideaworks, there results going back years)

The point is that much of that ancillary revenue is derived through the QFF program, from credit cards, etc etc. This is far different from the ancillary revenue that LCCs generate.

So let me get this straight:
PS = Priority Silver
SG = Superior Gold
WP = World Platinum
P1 = Platinum 1st
Nope ...
  • NB: "Nuthin" Bronze – A Bronze member of QFs FF program (also QFNB).
  • PS: "Plebian" Silver – A Silver member of QFs FF program (also QFPS).
  • SG: "Scum" Gold – A Gold member of QFs FF program (also QFSG).
  • WP: "W*nker" Platinum - A platinum member of QFs FF program (also QFWP).
  • WP1: "W*nker" Platinum - The Uber Elite platinum level of QFF member of QFs FF program (also WP1 or WPx3).

Yep QF pile on the fuel fines and surcharges... but they're not alone here. Look at what EK has done over the past few years - that's absolutely diabolical imo. Doesn't excuse QF of course, and both are hardly alone in this dept. The ones that AREN'T charging carrier surcharges and fuel fines are becoming more the exemption these days.

Wow, I'm not sure I agree with a moderator effectively censoring opinion by editing the OP's thread title. It was not offensive or abusive.

[And it is not just Qantas FF ancillary revenue, it is Qantas ancillary revenue, so the new thread title is incorrect anyway. As per notes under the table, the "FF" designation just means that most of the relevant airline's ancillary revenue comes from its FF program.]
