Qantas First Lounge in Auckland?

A QFF SG (or WP) cannot access the London Heathrow EK lounge unless they are on an Emirates operated flight.

The only EK lounge an SG specifically cannot access before a QF or EK flight is the Emirates First lounge at DXB. (Of course WP, WP1 indeed have access.)

Other than those two exceptions, all (open) EK lounges are available to SG before taking any QF/EK flight.

I will be on QF156 (AKL-MEL) in a few days and I'm a bit confused about QF First class lounge opening hours. The OW website says that QF F Lounge is open until last QF departure, while QF website says until 6:30 PM.
Any WP has flown QF156 lately? Was the F lounge open until 9PM?

Its essentially the same lounge as the QP, so I would doubt it actually close while the QP is open, not that there is much difference.

I guess the same could be said of MEL QP and domestic J lounge...but they managed to close the J lounge over Xmas...
I know there is no big difference between QF J and F lounges in AKL, but I'm just looking for a quiet place to work before the flight...sometimes a hotel lobby is less noisy than the QP:shock:

I used 90,000 Qantas points to do EK Suites Sydney to Auckland and back in J as a tester. The EK lounge was really good and seeing my business was completed I tested the temperature of the champagne.

Not quite, the AKL F lounge does not have its own reception and I found it noisy, being so small the phone calls get magnified as does the sound to the TV

Been to that on 50 times give or take with many on the late MEL flight

Once the F side was closed, several times the J lounge was closed with the few PAX all enjoying the comforts of First!".

Generally both lounges stay open until the last flight is called.

Best time for catering is mid afternoon around the time the LAN flight comes through - I guess they pay a little more to bolster the provisioning.

I have had a chance to try the EK, QF and NZ lounges at AKL. EK irs the newest, good light, nice bathrooms, lots of seating and really good food and drink selection. Much better than QF F or J lounge. The only problem is the EK lounge is only open for a few hours a day, from around 3pm til the last of the 3 EK flight leaves at around 7pm
Air NZ has too many eligible people and the lounge is often full. There is some talk about a new tier ( like P1 or chairmans) but no word on expanding the lounge.
The EK lounge in AKL is better than the ones in SYD or MEL. I prefer the QF j lounge, or when I get invited the F lounges:)
