Qantas First Lounge in Singapore

BTW and FWIW, I’ve long been in the habit of taking up some TimTams for the SIN lounge team (Shirley is always especially keen for them LOL), I’m curious if anybody else here does that now and again?

Have not done that. :)
Have a scarred history with Tim Tams, personally - and I don’t know Shirley by name, although I do know some of the other SIN staff.
But may give it a whirl, if I can get my act together ‘twixt now and take off. :)

If you are a 'regular' I can see that its a nice thing to do, but if you are not a regular visitor, then I think it would be an odd thing to do, except maybe if just left at the end of a visit (ie not seeming to be done with expectation of something in return).

I think I might be the only AFF member that didn’t know the lounge is open! 😩
The lounge staff didn’t even mention the F lounge last Wed but I did wonder why the normal lounge was so empty, now I know why!
Will definitely trot over there on my trip back next week.
You had other things on your mind.

Where were you travelling from/to.
They've seemingly been doing a good job of telling most people.

Yep, I've been out of the loop for a while and had no idea the lounge was even happening.

I was told "I had to check out the new F lounge" when i checked in.

Currently here waiting for QF36, if anyone is around we can be food and wine critic for AFF for a few hours. 😆 The lounge is currently rather empty so service is super quick. I enquired why I wasn’t informed last week and apparently they were overflowed so J lounge had to take the overflow.

My boss also reported that it was very quiet....(at about 6:15pm) Perhaps the buzz from the opening has died down?

It was quite busy when QF35 landed but right now it’s about 50% full. Was informed Thu to weekend is busy, also no such thing as dedicated P1 area. I’m rather surprised how small the lounge is.

The lighting was the best feature IMO, there’s another of these in the lounge area across the hallway from the shower. Can’t say the same about the overall art deco design though. I’m no interior designer but the large stone look all over made me feel like I’m in Fred Flinstone’s house. 😄

I was trying to think of how to describe those strange spots. I felt vaguely like I'd seen them somewhere before. Now I know - it's the Flintstones! 🤣

I have arrived early ahead of my Jetstar flight to Kuala Lumpur. Had a very warm welcome, was given an overview of the lounge, and promptly had a glass of tattinger, olives and a wet towel. It is very quiet being only 5pm, but expect it will be busier very soon. So far - a huge leap forward from the regular Qantas lounge, which has become more akin to a zoo lately.

Flying EK, via SIN on Friday, I was keen to visit the new lounge.
Arrived and was welcomed nicely.

Then the knock out punch.
“We are closed.” 😱
It was midnight.
Exactly. 😀

However, the Reception staff member most graciously gave us a tour of the facility and urged us to revisit when next through SIN.

Note to self:
Do a better job of checking opening hours - and factor in delay possibilities. 😀
