Qantas First Lounge in Singapore

No one, but I think we’ve come to accept that over the years

I can’t recall what QR have but I usually enjoy a coughtail like an espresso martini which is forbidden in QF.

QF and premium wine don’t go together

Can we talk about the wine list, I wonder how many would describe it as "first class".

WHITE WINE
Leo Buring Dry Riesling 2023 Clare Valley SA - $14.60
Wither Hills Pinot Gris 2023 Marlborough NZ - NZ$15.60
Shaw + Smith Sauvignon Blanc 2023 Adelaide Hills SA - $28
Vasse Felix classic Sauvignon Blanc blend 2023 Margaret River WA - $20
Voyager Estate Coastal Chardonnay 2023 Margaret River WA - $29

ROSÉ
Gayda La Minuette Rosé 2022 Domaine Gayda Languedoc-Roussillon France - about $15

RED WINE
Yering Station Little Yering Pinot Noir 2023 Yarra Valley Victoria - $21.99
Ministry of Clouds Tempranillo Grenache 2022 McLaren Vale SA - $28
Torbreck Old Vines Mourvedre Blend 2021 Barossa Valley SA - $26.99
Wynns Coonawarra Estate Shiraz 2022 Coonawarra SA - $20
Parker Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 Coonawarra SA - $24

DESSERT WINE
Berton Vineyard Reserve Botrytis Semillon 2019 Riverina SWA - $22 (for a 375ml)

Comparing to SQ in T2/3 they have stuff ranging from $20-80 but most sit around the $50-60 per bottle mark.

Nothing new. QF wines are decidedly average and cheap. The only wine worth drinking is the champagne. The coughtails on the list were quite decent too actually.

There are off list wines available to CL, P1, media entities with influence etc.

There was one more dish in this section that the hostess insisted we try. She wasn't wrong.

We were on the same flight then! I was in 3F. My schlep was interesting as I saw to QF pilots who happened to be the guys operating our flight. We spent the walk having a good old chat.
Bakchor egg noodles were quite interesting and rather filling. I'd go again ...

The egg noodles with pork meatballs was on the menu on Sunday night, and it was also pointed out as being the “new dish” for this seasons menu. Not sure why you didn’t see it on Monday.

My pic was snapped on the layover of the extremely late QF1, for which they kept the lounge open several hours past usual closing time. They might have a slimmed back menu for these situations to allow some kitchen staff to head home.

It looked exactly the same as mine at peak.

I was there before QF38 on Tuesday night. They had run out of sushi, 3 of the starters and the dessert, so slightly disappointing. Fingers crossed you have better luck.
Same for yesterday @torks
@elanshin
No lamb, prawns, and a few other dishes and only one chocolate fondant (we shared)
But the wonton soup hit the spot.

What's the third dish with the "bread rolls"?

It’s a variation of Singapore‘s Chili Crab that you would get at the likes of Jumbo‘s MBS outlet - but instead of crab they used shrimps - it was delicious and extremely tasty.

It‘s today‘s special.

It looked amazing and I thought it might have been something like that but didn't see anything on the menu that matched it. Damn...I miss Singaporean food....and I was only there a fortnight ok.

Going to be visiting in three and a half weeks, are we still on the menu in the posts above or is there a new one by then?

We should be hitting summer menu very soon. But the staples will be the same for the most part.
