How about 3K? I'm travelling from SIN on 3K in March and do expect to be let in to the Qantas FCL. Wishful thinking?

It depends on capacity and the forecast demand. They won't turn you away because they get thrills from distressing people.

It's a great menu, Serfty. They have lifted their game for sure. Beats Sydney.

My wife had the same two dishes last Thursday, at a very quiet SIN F lounge ahead of QF82 to SYD. She enjoyed them both very much, together with a glass of her favourite NV champagne, Taittinger Brut.

I opted for the very spicy but very very delicious Prawn Wontons to start, and then the old faithful chicken and bacon club sandwich, which would tide me over until breakfast, on board the 332 J suites. I had both the Taittinger Brut & Rose versions, to ensure they were equally good





She finished off with the Mango with Yuzu curd dessert, however didn't like the spice (Szechuan pepper?) in the meringue. I went with the chocolate and pecan brownie, which was perfect in every way. No pictures of these two; sorry!

Service from the friendly & relaxed staff at the SIN F lounge was excellent, and a fantastic example of what can be done with the right passion & team. As my home base, I wish SYD F was close to this good... but they do get some extra credit for the additional lounging area, which SIN sorely lacks, and the apron + runway views.

Lucky, there was only Lallier a few days ago. No Taittinger.
Penfolds FWT 2019 as the off menu option for F/P1/CL. That's F for French in FWT.
I think I'd rather the St Henri/389 if they have it next time.

They had the Lallier as well; I’d had that in SYD F a week earlier, and so knowingly declined. Not a fan.

I am flying in April and was hoping to have a nice red that is off the menu, is it common for it to be Penfolds RWT 2019 or does this get rotated?

It's not RWT.
That would likely be priced too high to be offered.

I'll be transiting SIN on QR J in the mid year - I'll do a back-t-back comparison of the QF F and the QR J lounge food. I think it will be an interesting comparison.

I'm flying through in April so will do the same although I am keen on what's on offer 'off menu' for F passengers on QF

any idea on the 'off menu' bottles?

3K is in T4. You'd have to check in/drop bags in T4, get over to T1, use the lounge then get the bus back to T4 for the flight. and that's assuming it's a flight in the late afternoon/evening when the QF lounges are open.

Well, actually I'm not connecting as I have an overnight in SIN (staying in a hotel in the city). My 3K flight to BKK is at 8 pm, so I was thinking of going airside in T1 around 3 pm, either via early check in or online check in (no bags). Sure, I'll have to take the bus to T4 around 6:30, but hopefully will be able to enjoy the FCL hospitality for a couple of hours.

I did this Sunday. If you like protein then QR (lamb chops were great).
