Qantas First Lounge Syd vs JAL First Lounge HND?

If it was afternoon vs. afternoon, I'd pick SYD any day. But given the SYD option is breakfast, I'd pick HND.

A friend was there at the end of last month and told me there was no Yamazaki in the bar upstairs anymore 🤯
I was there end of June and they had plenty. OW 25th too.

Haneda F had a much more limited menu when I was there last year around dinner time. No table service for ordering either. Coupled with the space being a lot bigger, it felt less personal.

It depends, say today at QF F, the dining area was over capacity so you felt bad for all the staff running around and it did take time to get a staffs attention. That's where QR code ordering would have been superior.

But I've also been when its quite empty and you get everything pretty quickly.

Hmm, interesting. I did give my friend explicit instructions to go upstairs to the bar, and they reported it wasn't on the menu. They travelled on June 26th in the evening (JL51). Maybe it was only missing for a short while. Hopefully it's still there when I travel next month.

How early can we arrive through immigration and into the lounge at Haneda?

It should never really be a question of either one or the other. The smart AFFer will do both. 🥂
You are right. And which is what we are doing.

Haha I was going through June 25 based on my photo date. I did note that bottle wasnt too full though, maybe everyone drank it all.

3-4 hour iirc for QF. JL can be a lot earlier.

JL. We have transport that we can't change that will have us arrive at around 1pm. Flight is 7.30 pm.

Nope, that’s nothing special.
5 minutes tops of the experience and still have to queue with others for security and immigration.
BA has something very special at Heathrow. I don't know why people have to queue at immigration because we sure didn't. 😂

I like the JL F Lounge, but wouldn't go through that early. I'd check-in your bags and then go check out the Haneda Airport Garden shopping mall, check out the Onsen at Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport, or go to the Terminal 1 observation deck which will offer you a great view of Mt. Fuji behind the airport on a clear day.

Excellent advice Thankyou. So I can get the luggage checked in that early and immigration etc?

Last time we flew JAL F out of HND we had a private security screening before joining normal Immigration but as that is now fast gates there was no waiting.

I would also choose SYD F. I commented on HND JL F lounge in my last two TRs and definitely find it very underwhelming.
Plus, the reverse it would QF J in SYD v JL J in HND (which is an easier choice).
