Qantas fix for partner award ticketing problems

Is this partner ticket issue only a problem when there are no QF metal flights on the PNR?

I did a classic reward last year: SYD-SIN-LHR on BA + LHR-PER-SYD on QF and the pdf ticket was issued within 2 hours of booking.

From what I'm aware it's a problem when you are changing the itinerary, particular adding flights to an existing classic award booking.

Still no change from D>U on my MEL>DOH leg, it's still showing as D class confirmed. Still have 57 days until my flight but I thought that QR might have changed it by now

I wouldn't be chasing that - you may end up getting status credits! ;)

I wonder if it’s just a QR thing.

I made a booking on Monday with CX and EL Al. It was ticketed pretty much immediately and points taken quickly. Next day I called them as the connections were concerning and few alternatives if I missed a connection in Beijing. Because CX had created married segments I to cancel and hope that seats would remain available. Points weren’t returned immediately (NY Day) and I could see my original CX flight had come back into the system as an award so I called Qantas again to try get the same flight from Sydney into HK and then a better connection into Tel Aviv. He said the origInal booking hadn’t been cancelled yet due to PH but he could see it and said he could simply change the booking as needed. Again this was ticketed within a couple of hours with CX and RJ flights. Points balance was fixed the next working day.

I added some QR and MH flights to an existing reward booking today. The updated ticket has not yet been issued and the points have not yet been deducted. I can see my booking on the Qatar website and it includes the original ticket number. Should this be enough to “trick” QR and MH into thinking it’s been ticketed, or should I contact Qantas if the ticket isn’t reissued in a few days?

I'd still contact Qantas if the ticket is not re-issued within a couple of days. There's a chance all will be well, but I still wouldn't risk it.

My QR tickets were processed pretty much within the hour. I’d call them.

Thanks for your replies. QF actually called me today as the CC details for the additional charges didn’t make it to the ticketing section. All fixed now and ticket reissued.

I made a change to a QR classic reward today, and added a segment. Already had syd to DOH and added DOH to LHR. It hasn't been ticketed and I called Qatar airways who confirmed that the second sector is not yet ticketed. How will I know when it is? There one eticket number for both passengers but it's the same number from the original booking. Should it change when it's all processed? Went through such drama to get these tickets booked I really don't want to lose them!

Have they ticketed yet? If not, I'd be calling Qantas to check.
