.....After the 3rd arrives in late December, all 3 will be running MEL-LAX flights with some A380 flights on QF93/94 being downgraded.
There was mention of that on Ausbt about a month ago.Where did you get that from?

Airline ads don't tend to show the aircraft operating a set route, they show that airlines best/newest product. Just like every QF ad since VH-OQA was near delivery, with VH-ZNA now being assembled and due for delivery in around 2 months, the 787 is what QF will be putting on ads now.
To be fair, the ad specifically mentions flying to Canada and "new levels of comfort on the Dreamliner from Dec 15". I think it's a fairly safe assumption that this route will be operated by the Dreamliner. It would be mighty weird for them to mislead like that. It's not like they're putting out ads saying "Fly to New York on the Dreamliner"...
This just looks like the right hand (ads) not talking to the left hand (...wider marketing/PR)
If you want to, you technically can fly from Australia to Vancouver on a Dreamliner. But you'd be flying Air Canada, and the route is BNE-YVR.

Agree.
15-Dec is the start date for the 6/wk QF95/96 MEL-LAX and this will use both frames ZNA and ZNB as it's a 33hr pattern - they don't have any spare 787s to service YVR direct
They could possibly use the third aircraft (delivery end December) for 3/wk flights MEL-YVR/SYD-YVR from mid-Jan to Mar, until the MEL-PER-LHR service begins on 24-Mar (after the fourth aircraft is delivered)
I don't think we've seen any additional scheduling over this period.
and SYD. they do SYD too...
and for the summer peak(here) they will fly to MEL also. AC have been busy
YVR-SYD is a Boeing 777 though.
