Yes I know, and informed the museum. The road is the main A2 Landsborough Highway from the East, the Hudson Fysh bit is about 2kms from the museum turnoff to the town. It is obviously a council stuff up, the sign at the town end is correct, this one is opposite the museum entrance but.
The people at the museum denied it until I showed them the photo, guess they all live in town...the first guy I showed bought several others over. Hopefully they get the council to fix it.

Bit embarrassing misspelling the name of the town's most famous resident.

I have since read his autobiography and early on he mentions some different spellings of the family name...but none had a C in there.

Great trip report.
Loved it.
I came within an hour’s drive of this on a recent TR myself and I too found the booking system to be completely confusing and frankly, quite outdated.
Alas I didn’t have time to visit, but would love to one day.

QANTAS has DSC on now....
If you are not doing a "road trip" and only want to see Longreach you can fly in or train in and get tours pretty easy.

Im glad Im not the only one who thinks the booking system is cough.

One thing I noticed is these towns only have 4G, my phone is normally on 5G, it seems to hold on to 5G even though it only gets 1 bar and wont swap to full bars 4G. I changed the settings to 4G only and it seemed much better, swapped back to 5G about Toowoomba.
