Hi my company has been booking me on Qantas flights but Qantas has put me on virgin flights the flights show up on my Qantas app with a VA number question is do I still get my Qantas status credits and access to the virgin lounge as I am gold at Qantas and red at virgin ? Thankyou in advance

Yes, you'll need to request Original Routing Credit from the Qantas Frequent Flyer team after your flights.

You should also be able to earn VA SC separately to this.

What exactly do you mean “Qantas has put me on Virgin flights”? As in, due to a Qantas cancellation and no other suitable Qantas flights, Virgin was all they could accommodate you on?

Or did your work travel company just put you on whatever flight their algorithms suggested?

If I have a mixed work itinerary on QF and VA booked on a single itinerary by the travel company, all flights generally show up on both airlines’ apps. But of course status benefits only apply as per my level on the operating airline.

This isn't the case? Your work has just booked you VA flights...?

If QF rebooked you to VA due to their issues eg cancellation, then you can get status credits and points as above. However if your work has put you on VA, then it has nothing to do with QF. There appears to be some confusion who has booked you onto.VA and why.

Your QF status means nothing on VA either way.

If the VA flights show in your QF app, that implies either QF rebooked you so updated the original booking.

If you have QF and anything else bookings on the same PNR, doesn't the previous / next flight segment to the QF one always show in the QF MMB regardless of who the flight is on? That was always my understanding.

My corporate agent does mixed airline bookings for me sometimes, and in these I see both the QF and VA flights in the QF app. I only get QF lounges and SCs with the QF flights, and VA lounges and SCs with VA.
