How much was the offset? There were issues very early on with $0.99 offsets not posting. The theory was > $1 was required (despite the Ts&Cs not stipulating a min spend).

But I believe the offset on short triangle routes these days anre all $2+. So that shouldn’t be the issue?

Otherwise, yes a PITA if it didn’t post within 48 hrs after booking.

Since I don't have status, I've tried my best to do it properly in the first place just to avoid calling Manila agents. Now I have to be more patient. It's very challenging.

After 6 weeks, I gave up waiting and just offset another flight on my next booking, and it took a couple of days to come through. Maybe do that rather than waiting

Book a flight and pay cash for the offset at the same time and the leaf sprouts ~48hrs later. The other leaves can then all be bought at the same time.

I never try and buy the offset on an existing booking. Too many reports of it not posting.

Agree, only good part is I've never been charged if it hasn't worked, so I pretty much know straight away whether QF will get it right or not.

Happy days - just got a call from Qantas indicating that the green tier option was now available, and so it was. 50SCs have now been applied to my account.

As mentioned earlier, if cash for both. You should get seperate receipts and some points should post for the purchase of the offset. They usually land about the same time as the leaf.

Yes. I got separate receipts. I don’t think any points posted for the offset as yet.

As it is raining today I decided to ring again this morning. Promptly through to Manila. The girl there was straight on to it and apologized and could see that it should be escalated or some such and assured me she would get on to it.

I just checked now a few hours later and the leaf is there. I have a feeling through if I did not ring again it still would not have arrived.

Pretty poor germination process if I may say so. I think they need some better seed.

Lat34 +1 achieved Green Tier in the dying moments of membership year ending Oct 2024 after chasing up missing "Offset Flying" leaf from early October.
Green Tier "congrats email" never received but on 29 October both app & online show "Enjoy your Green Tier benefits until 31 October 2025".

- 07Dec24 email follow-up with QFF team as option to Choose a Bonus Reward never appeared on account page
- 12Dec24 email from FF team: "We have already forwarded your concern regarding the Green Tier reward to our relevant team for review and action"
- 17Dec24 email from FF team: "We hope this email finds you well. We received an update from the relevant team. Could you please confirm which benefit you want to claim?"
- 17Dec24 email reply to QFF: "Thanks for your email, I would like 50 Status Credits as the Bonus Reward please." (*crickets*)
- 09Jan25 lodged another request with QFF team including background SRs for prior requests credit 50 Status Credits as Green Tier Bonus Reward + email from QFF team member Anna on 17Dec24 requesting confirmation of preferred benefit
- 17Jan25 email from QFF "in order for us to further review your claim, kindly send us screenshot attachments via return email"
- 07Feb25 emailed QFF same information as previous, requesting 50 Status Credits as the Bonus Reward please.

Our sincere apologies for the delayed response and we understand that your email query about your GREEN TIER BENEFIT. Regarding your green tier benefits as per process the option to select a reward will appear in My Account 21 days after the member has achieved Green Tier. The choice of 10,000 Qantas Points or 50 Status Credits or three tones of Carbon offset must be made within 90 days of achieving Green Tier status. Limit of one reward per individual per Membership Year. Once the application is complete there is no change of mind on the chosen reward. If no reward is chosen within the specified timeframe the reward will be forfeited.

Please be advised that GT Attain/Retain Benefit will be awarded 21 days from the end of the member's current MY.
