Qantas Half Trolley

Bought it from amazon.com page here. Its currently out of stock see many others to choose from. Ours was purchased back in Feb 2012 for all of USD$53 inc shipping, came in a rolled up form pre pasted.

it was 8' x 12' cut it down and pasted it onto a strong wall board, would not fit in lift so we hauled it up with long ropes to our pad!.

Had various bars in our homes and apartments for nigh on 40 years, but this now renovated airline trolley has wowed em all. We usually wait till guests see it before the penny drops.

How much roughly was the half trolley to obtain? I know of a place where I can get a trolley of another airline, although the price seems to be on the absolutely ridiculous side.

Paid not one cent for it. Spent about $250 to get it to where it is now plus elbow grease.

Had few neighbours in in last night for a Friday drink (not unusual), I opened the trolley door and new trolley lights came on and shone through the coloured liquor bottles, blew em away. Of course now they want one but scarce as hens teeth, well can get the odd one off eBay and last time I looked used was about $500+.

I bought this at the Gatwick Aviation Society Fair back in April.

I'd like to get a couple of the atlas drawers for it, but finding them at a reasonable price is proving difficult.

There are plenty for around USD $200 plus shipping but I doubt they are genuine. Google is your friend.

Had a bunch in last night and of course they all want an airline trolley.

Suggested to Mrs. Lime and her best friend to place the trolley cart between their chairs then I wont have to get up and go to our bar to get them a drink, funny thing the answer was in the negative!. I guess its like our bar bell I ring it and nothing happens  .

Soon I will post a night time shot with the trolley lights on.

Well I guess by now Qantas are loving all this positive publicity and the word is spreading, I feel Qantas will take this a further step and show it off in their magazine or possibly offer me a free long haul trip, probably both :) .

Ok here we are lights on, battery powered with sensor for night time plus fixed tray for serving.

Thinking we might get nice timber cutting board instead of the pullout at top, be nice cutting up some cheese for guests etc.

Still waiting for the Qantas side labels to arrive from US.

Fantastic work. Well done to you both

Tangentially off topic, but has anyone been to an aircraft graveyard like the ones in California and Arizona? Do they sell spare parts like trolleys, seats, et al to the public?
