Qantas Hotel Booking not showing account

For most hotels, not all though. AFAIK some hotels deal directly with QF.
I use Qantas Hotels often, but my standard practice with any hotel booking is to email the hotel directly, even just to say what time we are arriving and confirm they have the booking. Then have that on my phone if there is any issue.

Being the catastrophiser in the family, this gives me peace of mind 🤗

Nice move, I do same when booking thru a 3rd party site like QF.

Always seems to work well.

Did recently with a green QF hotel, recieved the points and green leaf.

Earlier this year I made an Airbnb booking through Qantas hotels for December. I paid the deposit via PayPal directly to Airbnb and printed that. The booking has never appeared in my Qantas bookings and Airbnb seem to have no record of it, so I am chasing a chargeback from the bank, but that is another story.

Do Airbnb bookings usually show up in “my bookings”?

No, don’t believe so.

But it will shown in your AirBnB account even though you’ve clicked through from QF.

Did you receive the AirBnB confirmation email?

We’ve made dozens of AirBnb bookings via QF without any issues (well, other than the occasional instance when the place wasn’t quite as presented, but that’s not QFs fault - although some here would find a way to blame AJ 😂).

Looks like QF Hotels has outsourced part of its system to Expedia, or another company.
There was a news item, few days ago.
A person, made a booking with QF Hotels, and found out actually, that it was processed by Expedia or another company.
When he got to his hotel in India, the hotel told him, there was "no booking"!
This would be a scary experience.
The guy needed to stay, he was there on business, so he stumped up the cash to pay, and it was at a higher rate than what was paid by him to QF Hotels.
Wasn't till he made a fuss to the media, that QF Hotels came to an agreement to cover his hote charges.
I have booked with QF Hotels in the past, then found out at that time, it was processed as "Jetstar Hotels" on my debit card!
Go figure.
Lots to be desired, and the faster VH does something about QF and the whole airline, the better.

ProductReviews rates QF Hotels 1.4 out of 5 stars!

AirBnB bookings via QF work differently. More like QF Market / Shopping - you buy something from the vendor (eg Myer) and the points follow.

With AirBnB, it takes you to AirBnB website (nothing to do we Expedia or the other booking engine). Interestingly, the QFF points from AirBnB stays post 4 days after checkout. Hotels take 4 wks 🤷‍♂️

I use QF hotels but looking at a family get together (3 generations under one roof for a very long weekend- call me crazy?)

I do not have an AirBnB account, will QF website ask me to create one?

If you find what you like on AirBnB, be sure to check booking.com via cashrewards.com.au as they have same stays at times. Cash rewards currently has 6% cash back and cyber Monday no doubt it'll jump to 10-14%.

10% discount off a large house for long weekend lot better than sooner QF points imo.

This 100% - Any third party booking I always obtain the actual booking number from the hotel directly and then bring it up via the hotels website.
