Thanks for the interest! I just checked and I'm still being redirected to the Jetstar page. PM me if you want more specifics. No immediate pressure for me now, I just looked up and booked through the hotel's own websites.

Might pay to clear your cached history and then do another search. It might be saving the JQ website in your temporaryy files rather than accessing the re-freshed site ??.

I like using QANTAS to book accomodation and activities. Had reason recently to change the dates on a Sounds of Silence dinner @ Uluru for 4 ( $ 675.00) through Qantas. I contacted the reseller 2 days beforehand and they said SORRY, cancel within 3 days and the fee is 100%. I said not cancelling only changing dates, they said "SORRY". I then went to Isango based on the Qantas date change promise in the T & C's on the Qantas website and they changed it NO CHARGE !! Pretty good service.

I've also booked lots of accomodation through them and in about 1 in 3 cases I can find the same thing slightly cheaper on another site and get the PRICE PROMISE of the refund of the difference and the extra 1,000 points.

The Price Promis seems too good to be true but guess they are trying to give people the confidence to book on their site for everything knowing the prices are pretty competetive and they are prepared to put their POINTS where their mouth is. In effect claiming the Price Promise possibly does the ground work for them because I guess they then screw the supplier for the same price as available elsewhere.

I like dealing with Qantas, everyone has to make a dollar and I hope they survive, their FF program is in my opininion one of the best around and I would hate to see it all go the same way as Ansett.

( Forgot to mention I had also previously claimed the PRICE PROMISE on this activity, found it $ 11.60 overall cheaper elsewhere. The difference was refunded within 10 days so guess the points will follow too)

I can chime in here, as I have it on good authority from a QF staffer (one of the leaders of their online team) that it was a temporary thing whilst they were relaunching the hotels site and interface.

Screenshots posted earlier of what people were seeing with the new site is what they launched. No need for panic.

Can't say I'm impressed with them testing on a live site while I'm trying to book my travel. Seems pretty amateurish. Ah well.

The new site is superb - just used it myself!
Shows sites by price, QF points.. You can search by price ranges. Nicer layout. It looks like a site from 2012 not 1999

Thanks to this thread I've found a rate at the Crowne Plaza in Singapore on QF hotels with a 4pm checkout for $303 with breakfast.

The hotel quoted almost $500SGD for 5pm late checkout, no breakfast :shock:

Would have made an interesting claim under the IHG best rate guarantee, although I suspect the different checkout time makes it a unique room offering, otherwise you could have scored it for free!

Just booked the week after through the new website. I like it. Would like it more if it would remember my credit card like a flight booking does - maybe even have a 'manage my bookings' page so I can double check what I've booked and what I haven't booked.
