I have 2 friends who will be travelling on another airline the same day as me and I would like to know if Qantas will allow me to take them in to the international business class lounge?

Are they travelling on a oneworld carrier?

There is some some paid lounge opportunity at MEL T2 these days. Also, the Amex Lounge.

Since they have 4 hours, can they clear immigration and enter Australia so you can guest them into the QF domestic lounge in T1 instead?

The answer is definitely no because they are not on the same flight as you.

You will only be allowed one guest and your guest must be travelling on the same flight as you - as in the same QF flight number. (Even if EK flight number but same actual QF airplane they cannot be guests)

If you are travelling on a flight number EK whether operated by QF or EK then no guests. And similarly no guests if you are on a JQ business max fare
