Qantas International seat selection not working Singapore London

We checked in as soon as it opened, we were in middle and aisle. There was ONE aisle seat right down the back, so one of us is now there, we were able to swap out of middle. So it’s both aisle now, just a long way apart which we can live with if they can’t help us at the lounge.

Frustrating process but at least we are traveling again. Singapore has been so great to revisit, and next is family time in England. Thanks all.

Presumably the upgrade didn’t come through either? ☹️

🥰🥰🥰 it did! Received a text as we headed off to enjoy Lavo restaurant on 57th floor of Marina, so it put a delicious taste in our mouths for lunch! Not seated together, but a hundred times better than what we had accepted at midnight and slept on. Here’s cheers to traveling again and to receiving help through this terrific site.

It’s possible the available seats for advanced selection based on status (bronze, silver, gold, platinum) have been exhausted. This usually returns a message that seat selection is not possible.
No, it appears they had selected seats (across the aisle from each other)but were bumped:
So you have been moved from the seats you originally selected?
Definitely ... we can’t see our seats at all! The Qantas guy told us we are in middle and aisle 😳 Never ever our choice, we always do aisle aisle.

But happily, we won lotto today. Hearing some unhappy travellers in the lounge though, delays, offloading, lost luggage…. we really have nothing to whinge about (yet). Wonder if we can watch Four Corners in here 🤣
