I couldn’t find an appropriate thread, but please merge if there is one.

Since at least 2019 I have had issues selected Qantas seats through MMB online and the app. I’ve been WP the whole time but I never (rarely?) get access to the seat map I just get the screen that lets me preference window and aisle. When I’m on a booking together with the my partner (Gold) we can select seats, including ones normally only available to WP members and the assignment sticks. I have no issues selecting seats at check-in.

It’s not really been much of an issue through the pandemic but I’m starting to travel again and want to get it sorted.

As I write this it seems to date back to me first joining business rewards under my own ABN and then being booked flights under a clients BR account. There was a period where they couldn’t complete a booking with my FF number in the account.

I could ask if anyone has a number or email address of anyone who might care to read a detailed bug report on act on it. But given the likelihood of any action I’ll just comfort myself that I have whinged into the wind.

I had the exact thing last week. On one flight it corrected as soon as checkin opened.

Not sure if this is related, but my flight from HNL to SYD tomorrow on QF104 has no seat selection map available. Says you can select a preference. I've already selected a seat luckily. Seat map for business and economy also doesn't show up in ExpertFlyer. Wonder if it is a full flight of something.

I can see it on EF. Looks pretty full, all seats either occupied or blocked.

Clearly whinging works, albeit briefly.

I had a flight booked for me by my employer and when it popped up in my profile I was able to select a seat. 31K, perfect. I logged back in today and I’m back with the preference screen.

Possibly I enraged the QFF gods as I asked for some new QTags (I seem to have lost the set I got when I turned WP many years ago). This seems to have prompted an identity verification process. I may not be who Qantas thinks I am.
