Qantas Kiosk Users Be Aware, You could End Up in Jail

danielribo: I am finding out what you say is true about the police arresting you just to talk to you. Unfortunately when you fill out a Visa application or a job application they ask you if you have ever been arrested and not if you have been convicted. I work for an international company and have been instructed by management not to even interview any person who has admitted being arrested. This may seem petty but never the less is a fact. Now I am myself obligated to notify my employer and am not sure what will come of it. This is not a good thing.
I think unless some one else has also seen one of the kiosks broken at Qantas it is time to end this link. There seems to be a lot more people refusing to believe me rather than taking notice that this could happen to them also which was the original purpose.
Thanks to all who have responded.

Dave, You have my word and an offer to supply the case number but instead of requesting it you just called me an untruthful person.
The CNI Number : 748806732.
I can assure you that this incident did happen I feel sorry for you being so suspicious of all man kind that you assume I am making this up. No wonder the police get by with things like this with people such as your self around. I only hope that no innocent person ever faces a jury as they are sure to be falsely convicted. Time to wake up and smell the roses.

Well it is pretty clear that you are paranoid.

And if I may submit, this thread should be closed because it is going nowhere (unless people are having a competition about how much of their own personal information they want to post on the internet, in which case rsjsyd wins).

I think that you may be mixing up Daves. I did not state that you were untruthful, just that a statement from a person is not a fact

I would suggest editing out some personal information in your posts unless you are happy for it to be all over the internet

Actually, you should be aware of the following:

CNI = Central Names Index - anybody who has had ANY dealings with NSW Police (whether it be as an offender, a victim, a person reporting or a witness) has an entry on the CNI. (This has caused me no end of trouble, as far as the United States goes - I am "known to police" but only because I have an entry on the CNI - the entry is "nothing adverse", but this is not carried across to the Untied States, but that is another issue). A CNI number is unique to an individual, although several individuals may have multiple CNI's (Don't get me started on that).

What I think you are referring to is an event number - this is generated by COPS (the internal NSW Police system) which keeps track of ALL events reported to NSW Police.

I am still highly sceptical, and have made informal enquiries with senior officers of the Botany Bay LAC, which has revealed nothing.

Dave, Thanks for that. I would suspect that you are not hearing much back because my lawyer and the consulate have been in contact with them and I suspect they are questioing if what their officers did was completely correct. Thanks for your intrest.

As rsjsyd has made his point and the initial intention of raising the issue for people to read, and the discussion is now centred around whether or not others believe rsjsyd's reporting of the situation, I am going to close this thread for now.

rsjsyd, if you would like to add further information following your day in court, please PM me or any of the moderators and we will re-open this thread for further discussion at that point.
