Qantas Lounge access for family

IMO, kids are exactly the same as adults - some you like around you & some you don't ;)

When was the last time you saw a screaming adult running around as if they were possessed or having a hissy fit on the floor whilst their indifferent parents look on as if everything is fine??

Hmm interesting -...
Now I think about it, there was only the one 'domestic/intra-europe' lounge that kids did not have access to.

Back then since I was a Qantas FF Gold/oneworld emerald we were all able to access the Concorde Room at T4 before our QF2 flight to BKK.

..... and when was the last time that you saw an adult annoying everybody nearby by talking loudly on their mobile phone :?:

Ah - that would make sense - I have never been in the Concorde room. We only joined in 1998. In fact I wouldn't have done it then, but a friend insisted on filling in the forms for me (I hate forms). I have ended up being quite grateful to him, as the FF program is worthwhile. We should finally be able to try out the Concorde room in June next year when we fly LHR to JFK!

In short everywhere - it's called life

FWIW, I've had my personal space & time interrupted far more by annoying adults than kids.

I suppose, if you go out of your way looking for something - you'll no doubt find it.

My two kids should love it....remember, to pre-book spa treatments & cabana's via YOU FIRST. Their contact details are on the BA website.

Never - the same as me seeing a child doing the same. I have had plenty of adults annoying me with their phones, but strangely never seen any children doing that.....

Yes. Mobile phone use has grown to epidemic proportions and no sign of any relief from it anywhere. And to be blunt, I believe people are getting more selfish by the day. I really do not need to listen to any conversations.

Also I have no issue with children being in lounges but most times children will be as bad as their parents allow them to be.

If you are going to take children into the lounge then you need to supervise them at all times. This is not the time for you to relax and let them become a burden on others. And no. Lining up 3 kids at the desktops for lengthy periods while you drink and chit chat is not right either. Especially when there are only 4-5 desktops available in total.

But unfortunately I cannot consideration and manners returning to humanity anytime soon....

I wonder if in this new tablet age we will see less of this. I cannot foresee boygr ever needing to use a lounge computer as he will have access to three iPads...
