With Qantas opening up more of their lounges, has anyone had any luck bringing in guests who aren't flying on the same flight? (specifically wanted to ask about BNE). I note specifically the conditions below on the Qantas website, however it says "may".

I figured it might be a bit early to ask though as the BNE Qantas Club isn't opening until 2nd Dec, but just wanted to put it out there for now. Thanks!

I haven't tried, I assume like always if it's quiet and you ask nicely you might get away with it if you get the right dragon.

As a policy though, I think they'll keep this in place until after Christmas, they still want to keep the numbers low for capacity and staffing reasons (can't have people 5 deep at the bar like you would normally see on busy days like Christmas eve).

OK thanks mate, appreciate the response!

I wonder if the ambiguity about whether you can bring a guest in or not is due to Oneworld obligations? They say a eligible lounge member may be able to bring a guest - perhaps they are allowing OWS and OWE to bring a guest but not QP members or J pax without status?

Would be good to have some data points as travelling from MEL with a guest next week.

WP here. I was able to being a non-flying guest into the SYD J lounge last Sunday, but was explicitly told they were doing me a favour and not to expect it going forward.

Has anybody tried arrivals access?
