I’m curious if this is a new rule (enhancement) but this afternoon I was told that lounge access on arrival as a platinum is limited to the 60 minutes after arrival.
For the record I was told this in Townsville trying to access the lounge same day as a platinum 4hrs 30mins after arrival on a Qantas flight (before an onwards flight on a different airline).
No where online does this 60 minute rule exist (unlike Virgin which does) so this is why I’m curious if it’s just an individual lounge making up rules or an actual rule.
On the Platinum benefit page it lists the following which seems to go against what they’re saying. Has anyone else come across such situation?

Arrivals: Platinum and Platinum One Qantas Frequent Flyer members may access Qantas Domestic Business or Qantas Club lounges upon arrival, if you have travelled that day on any flight with a Qantas (QF), Jetstar (JQ, 3K or GK), Emirates (EK), China Eastern (MU) or a oneworld member airline marketed and operated flight number on your ticket.
