How hard and fast are these expiry dates? I have a friend flying on the 29th... I'm guessing a pass that expires on the 28th wouldn't be assignable?

Correct unless it is on JetStar.

At the bottom of the lounge invitations screen is a link to link an invitation to your Jetstar booking. The system only validates that the invitation is valid at the time you link it.

Not that I know of - I got an alert saying it had been though.

It DID get deleted because swap requests are not allowed.

I had a similar scenario - passes expiring before I need to travel. To comply with thread rules, give your passes away. Then in the approaching weeks to your flight, jump on here again and try to snag others who are giving away their passes. But swapsies? No.

Fair enough, however I am not going to rely on trying to snag a pass at the last minute.

Seems a bit odd not to allowing to swap... Anyway, it is what it is...

(I didn't know swap requests weren't allowed in this thread, and I had advised one poster to try that option - mea culpa - apologies to all).

I had presumed an "I'll give you a pass expiring X and you can gift me a pass expiring Y" would be acceptable - obviously not for any reimbursement.

I'm corrected

Swapping is considered payment in kind (equivalent to cash) and may contravene Qantas T&C's.
