Hmm.

Flying QR J denied access to qf f lounge.
Thought they were allowing J pax to access F lounge since J lounge is closed. But no luck
QF are allowing their own J Pax/Gold/QF Club to access the Flounge as the J lounge isn’t open.

What arrangements QR have made for J pax as the J lounge for OW J pax is closed is a matter for them and you should have been advised at check-in what they were, or given a voucher in lieu of lounge access.

There's nothing open for BNE international at the moment is there? Flying in 2 weeks, Emirates J.
Plaza Premium lounge is opening for Emirates flights (Tue, Fri and Sat). Emirates is currently using them as the contract lounge.

@Amanad78: slightly OT for this thread but as EK pax you and I are also in luck for lounge access in transit at DXB next week. EK tweeted on 9 Dec that all their T3 premium lounges (7 in total I think) are now open after a long period with just the J & F lounges in Concourse B operating. There is independent corroboration in a couple of threads on FT. This should reduce lounge congestion and it’s good anyway to have options other than the J lounge in Concourse B. Practical choice of lounge can depend, though, on duration of transit, gates for arriving and connecting flights, and one’s willingness to hike around the vast T3. Have a safe journey.:)

Thanks you @Telemachus 😊
Only a short transit of 2h10m so I guess I will go to the closest lounge in T3 (haven't been via Dubai before, looking forward to it)

I note the Lounge status page was updated yesterday. The following International are now opening for Qantas flights:

International loungesDarwin International Transit Lounge,
Melbourne International First Lounge (3 Hours before QF9/QF35/QF93)¶,
Sydney International First Lounge ¥,
Singapore International Business Lounge (4 Hours Prior to QF*QF),
The Qantas International London Lounge (6:00 am to 2:00 pm) and
Los Angeles International Business Lounge (3pm to 8.45pm).
¥ Varies

Subsequent anecdotes indicate Melbourne International First is also open from 7:50pm on the evenings that QF93 to LAX operates. (Edited)

I'm a bit puzzled by the SYD times... Does the lounge actually shut for ~1 hour between SIN and LHR flights? Seems odd.

Even more interesting is the HNL flight 103 which leaves 7:20pm. Is it really going to open just 35 minutes before that flight boards?

This seems to indicate MEL Flounge is closed for the QF LAX departure. Surely not?!

My friend is at the Plaza Premium Lounge in BNE tonight before her EK flight and has reported that drinks are free but described the food options as awful:

And there’s no lounge for QF104 pax either. QF lounge still says closed and AA/JL lounge doesn’t open until an hour after departure (1100).

In MEL Domestic Business lounge this morning I note the QP is also open.

Looking at another thread, this has been the case for a week (and SYD Domestic as well).

Unfortunately appears travellers on QF codeshare on FJ for SYD-NAN won't have lounge access until just before departure.
