Qantas Lounges will begin reopening from 1 November 2021

Does anyone know when the lounges will return to operating as per normal independent of QF flights? My assumption is 27th March?

Sydney F lounge offering Penfolds Koonunga Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2019; a $15 bottle of wine?
Very fancy!

Seriously though there must be a mistake here. Other travel site which shall not be named has a copy of the Autumn 2022 menu listing the following reds:

- Levantine Hill Glen Garvald Pinot Noir 2018 Yarra Valley, VIC ~$49 per bottle.
- Heirloom Vineyards Touriga 2021 McLaren Vale, SA ~$40 per bottle.
- Parker Estate ‘Terra Rossa’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 Coonawarra, SA ~$33 per bottle.
- Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz 2018 McLaren Vale, SA ~$27 per bottle.

EDIT : No it seems QF is cheaping out until 27 March - at which point the J lounge reopen. The above wines will be served after 27 March.

Correct. That wine is the "combined premium lounge" offering (ie mini J lounge :p ). Come 27th it should revert to more normal FLounge service.

I bought a bottle of this as a prize for a (low-key) department quiz shortly after I migrated. No complaints at the time, but it didn't take long for me to work out that it's hardly a treat

Perth QP closed today "because it's Sunday" 🤨, and a queue outside of the business lounge, which was "at capacity because they are a hospitality venue".

No flights were due to depart for a while, so i assumed the line would not clear quickly. Bought myself a pineapple juice and say elsewhere.

Next domestic ex PER is probably a month away, will be interesting to see if we're back to normal by then...

Currently QF is using the NZ lounge. The QF lounge is finally undergoing renovations, but may have only just started so I'd expect it to be a while before they reopen.
The Qantas web site says nothing about this. Does anyone have direct experience at Auckland?

I’m flying to Auckland from MEL this Friday (Good Friday) departing at 9am, as SG I’m trying to work out if any lounges will actually be open this Friday.
Looking at their website it seems like the lounge is only open for certain QF flights.

At least they should be honest and say "because we have no staff"

The Qantas First lounge at LAX is back fully operational, visited this evening on arrival from MEL connecting through to Chicago - had a 4 hour layover so walked over via the AA T4 back passage.. it did close at 10:30pm after the last Qantas flight so moved over here to the AA Flagship for the last hour before connection.

It was light on traffic, fully staffed and service was as good as pre-covid levels (which was always great).. the flight over on Qantas J was also excellently staffed and serviced as has been the case all year.
