Qantas Loyalty MEL lunch (03SEP13) attendees thread

Travel Guru and I are on the same flight pairs, presume MattinCBR as well. Grogan, are they flying you TSV/BNE/MEL or TSV/SYD/MEL?

It will be TSV/BNE/MEL the only direct flights are with JQ. The email that I received offered to fly me from BNE on on Tuesday morning. The red eye out of TSV would not connect with the 7am out of BNE. So am awaiting a reply re flying Monday.

Coming back looks like I'm on QF822, (dept MEL @ 19:05). Just asked to see if I can be placed on QF811 for the flight down there. Will let you know the answer.

Returning to CBR same flight. Have same request into Qantas on flight to MEL.

dfcatch has had the same problem (he's going to SYD event) as you Grogan - he's coming from CNS and got advised flights ex-BNE . He is now awaiting a resolution.

I hope Yarratrams will provide a meal voucher for the delays that I am sure to encounter, (which seems to be everyday). :mrgreen:

I'm hoping for an upgrade, but can't work out which of Yarratrams or Metro would give me the best chance?

You could come in on a Vline then, on some services they offer "First Class". First Class

You can dine on fine food (Microwaved meat pie) and it has a tray table, all in a sub 1980's seat & carriage.

Hopefully! I've arranged to have the day off work. Going to be warm so it should be a nice day, but maybe not warm enough for a dress.

Congratulations again on winning an invitation to Qantas Cash Rockpool Lunch in Melbourne. I will be arranging your travel for the occasion.

Travel details:
From your profile I can see you are based in Queensland.
Please confirm if this is still current and the below flights will suit:

QF609– departing Brisbane at 07:00 and arriving in Melbourne at 09:25 (Tuesday 3 September).and
QF632– departing Melbourne at 18:05 and arriving back in Brisbane at 20:15 (Tuesday 3 September).

For your ease, I have tried to book similar travel timings for other guests where possible to give you the opportunity to meet fellow Frequent Flyers - you might like to contact some of the others on AFF to share transport to/from the venue.

Please let me know if you are happy with these arrangements and I will go ahead and finalise the details for you.

Depart ADL 0730 - QF674; Arriving MEL 0920

Depart MEL 1815 - QF697;

I'm SG so I can guest into the QP but would be open to be guested into the J lounge.

Happy to share transport from MEL Airport - City - MEL Airport if anyone is interested.

Here's hoping for an op-up (once again tongue-in-cheek but I'll take it if it happens)

As I mentioned in the SYD thread in the spirit of the event you will have troubles pre-allocating seats and must sit in a middle seat down the back.

I think chances of an upgrade are good. Just use your imagination.
