Fares are valid for departures from Australia between Monday and Friday only.

Oh and have looked for fares at 299 from the start to the end of the promotion period and lowest fare I could find outbound was 313 However could combine that with 286 on the return leg giving the 599 return pricing.

Ok got it to see the 299 you must enquire as a one way fare not a return. Surely it would have been easier to have the 299 out and a 300 return so that both offers could have been possible on the one enquiry Grrrrrrrrrrr

They also have other deals.

Sydney to Singapore $299 one-way
Sydney to Bangkok $299 one-way
Brisbane to Singapore $299 one-way

There's also pretty decent ex-NZ pricing on the IST Anzac flights.

Good to see Qantas offering good One-Way fares :)

There seems to be a lot of sales coming through - more than last year.

Always a good indicator of loads and future booking activity. HNL seems to have gone off a cliff...

I wonder why...

Having lived in the UK from 2007-2014 through the great GBP devaluation I can only advise people here to get used to the word 'staycation' being liberally thrown about...

Really good fares though. I'd have booked a couple if I didn't already have tix.

QF would have been my preference over EK (I'm Gold with both), as their Y class treatment of Golds is far better. Emirates needs to stop treating its Y class elite pax as merely disgusting cattle (or sheep or goats or camels).

QF have SIN on the cheap again, ~$580 from MEL SYD BNE and ~$620 ADL, but still listed at $800 on the fare display page. Found them available in August. Probably ties in with the latest Emirates deals, depart from 24/4-09/09. Available on Expedia ETC also.

Cheap flights to SIN ($599 rtn) are back again for travel from now till 29 May and from 7 Jul to 9 Sep. Had a look at a few random days in August/September and it looks like the promo fares are available on QF5/6 only.

Not a bad deal I must say.

Is Singapore worth say a 4 day trip to see the place? Never been there but its probably one of the cheaper places to fly to now.

Id say that would really depend on what you are looking for on holiday? We've lived there most of our lives and one word that often comes up when describing Singapore is "sterile". Most people transit through a few days, 4 days is plenty..mostly shopping and food.. Not huge on culture.

4 days would probably be just right for the main attractions + some shopping + food.

If you do get bored, though unlikely if it's just 4 days, the Indonesian islands of batam and bintan are a short ferry ride away while Historial Malacca in Malaysia is doable as a bus day trip.

Alternatively, maximize your flying and bag yourself a cheap flight on one of the many LCCs to neighboring cities that are 1-2 hours away. Some cities that may be a possibility for a day trip include KL, Penang, Jakarta, coughet, Krabi or even Bangkok or Saigon if you don't mind red eye flights.
