QANTAS Member number question.

Hi All,

I just want to check something. When I joined QANTAS Frequent Flyer I was given 5xx_xx_ as a number. When people join the club are the member numbers ordered in sequence?

Yes they are in order.. i joined in 1995 and mine is a 07xx_xx

There is a user on here with a 4 digit FF number.

When I joined in '91 I had a 5 digit number but a couple of years later Qantas added a 2 digit prefix for reasons I cant even remember.

The 2 digit prefix came in '92 when Qantas amalgamated with Australian Airlines.

Its been an interesting 20 years thats for sure...seen a lot of changes and not all for the better!

That would be me. I joined the TAA Flight Deck as it was in those days in January 1983. I don't fly much these days - maybe twice a year - but did enough before I retired to get Life Time Gold, which is nice.

My brother joined about 3 months before me and is now Chairman's Lounge and like me is retired.

I was just concerned about the idea of adding 2 extra years. I don't want to get older too quickly.

Mine starts with 1xx_xx_

And I'm pretty sure your frequent flyer card has member since [year] on it - I don't have mine with me so can't check.
