Qantas partnership with BP

None for me... You must be BP's BP (Best Patron)?
And on the other end of the spectrum, BP = Beyond Poor

OH!

I immediately delete the emails from BP I get and haven't shopped with them in the last year or so, but low and behold, I undeleted a recent email and I also got a $50 voucher. Thanks for the tip off folks. 👏

Another 20x points offer on snacks/essentials for the next 2 weeks - will gladly take that one.

Also a reduction in Feb for those that want to spend their points at BP - 1,500 points = $10 off (instead of 1,900).

Spend $80 or more in a single transaction to earn 300 bonus Qantas Points

$110 earns 200 bonus points
Maybe I have been spending to much at BP
Or maybe too much wandering

Easy peasy for me - I have a 70l tank in my car, and usually put in 60l on a fill. Although I just filled up last week at 7-11 to get the Virgin points, so it will take a couple of weeks until my next top up.

Hopefully most people on here haven't accidentally used Qantas points to buy fuel, but it's quite easy to do. Just a friendly reminder that you can disable this option in the BPme app :)

I wander down to 7-eleven to get the 11-seven discount. A couple days ago the 11-seven diesel at 7-eleven was 171.9 whereas the 7-eleven was 199.9

150L purchased. $42 discount.

I do the BP to keep the points alive for several family members, but other than that no need for BP
The nearest 7-11 is about 350 km north.....
That would be excessive wandering

On my last two visits to BP, both times the pay by app wasn't working - had to pay inside - swipe QFF card - confusingly get told to press cancel by the operator (otherwise that's the redeem process).

Both times points failed to credit, and this was during the 500 points promotion so I missed out.

I emailed BP and I eventually heard back, they are going to manually credit once I send them receipts. Luckily I asked for receipts (I don't usually).

I get U98 so the points earn is fine by me - slightly better than shopping at woollies.

I've had the "almost use points" experience a few times. After seeing Matt's post in today's AFF Gazette, I downloaded the app to turn off redemption. I had a user/password, so I expected spin up to be quick. No such luck. I'm not the app design expert, but BPme seems to be slow and clunky, and not friendly. After logging on, and after clearing at least two 2FA hurdles, I repeatedly received a "temporary error" message and the redemption switch could not be changed. Then I noticed (after logging in and out a few times) that points was disabled. So I enabled, and after an interminable period, enablement happened. THEN I was able to go to the settings and turn off the switch, and a heap of other notification switches that had been off but were now on.

Conclusion is that, weirdly and despite the setting being disabled, I was getting the "use QF points" at the counter when maybe that should not have happened?
